Thursdays with Cheeky Rox: NYX Cosmetics Prismatic Shadow Review
NYX Cosmetics is definitely an industry-leading cruelty-free makeup company. They have tons of high-definition cosmetics and are always adding new products and ranges to their collection. I’ve always been a fan of their original eyeshadow formula because of the pigmentation and variety of colors. Now that they’ve released a newer collection of eyeshadows, I definitely wanted to give them a try! The NYX Cosmetics Prismatic Shadows are pressed powder eyeshadows with a metallic finish and high pigmentation. The Prismatic Shadows are available in 12 gorgeous shades that range from neutral bronzes to bold blues. Today we’ll be looking at the shade Golden Peach.
Golden Peach is one of the more neutral shadows in the collection. It’s a light peach shade with a shimmer of gold reflects running through it. Don’t be fooled – I said it was a neutral shadow, but it’s definitely not lacking in the metallic finish that the Prismatic Shadows promise. When I apply it to my eyelids, it looks like it has the metallic shine of an eyeshadow pigment with the application-ease of a pressed powder shadow – which I find to be utterly amazing 🙂 The golden shimmer really makes the peach tones pop and the gold reflects make it a great shade for blending into the crease. Golden Peach seems to have warm, pink-ish undertones. These undertones make it unique, wearable, and versatile all at the same time. I have a feeling this is quite a universal shade – I really like the effect on my eyes and think it would be gorgeous on so many different eye colors!
The Prismatic Shadow in Golden Peach definitely has great pigmentation and blending capabilities. The most impressive part is that I’m able to wear the shadow all day long with no fallout, which is common for me with metallic or shimmery colors. I definitely want to give the other shades a try. All of the Prismatic Shadows from NYX Cosmetics look gorgeous!
