There’s a secret to having refreshingly clean and moisturized skin! The secret is Onsen. Onsen is a skin care line named after the ancient Japanese hot springs, which are known for their health restoration powers.
What’s so special about the onsen hot springs and Onsen products?

Anywhere from hundreds to thousands of years ago, Japanese women discovered the onsen hot springs and their healing powers due to the complex mineral content of the water.  Onsen Skin Care has taken that mineral solution from the Japanese hot springs and modeled their own skin care technology after it by being the first and only company to have Micro Water Complex (MWC) in their skin care formula.

The molecules of MWC are so much smaller than that of regular water that they can penetrate the skin cell walls and fortify the skin with nutrient-rich minerals. This process allows the Onsen formula to  reach even the deepest layers of your skin to rejuvenate and moisturize your skin.
After hearing of this specialized formula, I decided to put it to the test and get the Onsen Milk Lotion Cleanser. When I received the product, I was amazed by the beauty of the bottle. The light blue color made me think of a distant seashore of clear waters. I opened the bottle and the smell was so refreshing and relaxing! It smelled like heaven (if heaven could even smell that good.)

When I was ready to use it, I applied two pumps of the formula to my face and gently rubbed it around. The milk lotion cleanser was as you would assume, smooth, milky and creamy. It was a very gentle cleanser, which is what I really like. Despite the gentleness of the cleanser, the Onsen formula somehow broke down my usually stubborn waterproof mascara! After a couple minutes of overall cleansing, I rinsed my face with warm water and it was rejuvenated—soft as a baby’s bottom.

The next day after my daily water aerobics session, I tried Onsen again. Since the chlorine in the pool water harshly affects my skin and makes it almost impossible for me to keep my skin hydrated, I decided to try the deep cleansing treatment (leaving the product on for 10 minutes before washing). I applied the Milk Lotion Cleanser in the shower and after washing my hair and body, the 10 minutes were up and I rinsed my face.

And what do you know, Onsen did it again! My face felt completely moisturized and supple – I was so pleased! Now I know that Onsen is the secret my skin has been looking for! Oh, and by the looks of it, my skin is definitely saying ‘thank you.’
