The LipSense Review you have been waiting for! I recently got my hands on some LipSense lip colors from Bombshell Cosmetics, and I couldn’t wait to try them on for you! I have been hearing about LipSense for a while now. I keep hearing women talk about how LipSense is not a lipstick or a lip stain, but it’s the most long-wearing lip color money can buy. So, of course, I was intrigued!
LIPSENSE BOMBSHELL REVIEW
Bombshell Cosmetics, owned by Lauren Williamson, sells a full range of Senegence products, including the ever popular LipSense lip colors.
So here’s the deal. When you buy your first shade, you need to make sure to get one of the glosses (I got the Glossy Gloss) and the Oops Remover too. You have to apply it correctly, but once you do, it’s staying on all day! First, you apply a thin layer of LipSense to bare lips (no lip balm or anything – just clean lips). It’s very thin, and the alcohol might feel cold when you apply it – that’s normal. Now, be sure NOT to touch your lips together or let them touch your teeth for about 5 seconds. Then apply a second coat, wait 5 seconds and then a third coat. After that dries, apply the gloss to seal and moisturize.
You can even “cocktail” the colors by mixing and matching them between coats. It’s kind of fun to blend them that way!
I kind of think of LipSense as the “gels of the lipstick world”. You know how right after you get gel nails, you can touch your nails and you won’t mess them up? Same thing here – you can wipe it and only the gloss will come off. The color won’t budge! You just need to keep the gloss with you and re-apply after meals.
If you happened to get it outside the lines when applying, just use the Oops Remover to take off any mistakes. I also use the Oops Remover at night to remove the LipSense, but I’ve heard other people use oil-based makeup removers or even glycerin soap.
I tried Bombshell (a nude, “your lips but better” shade), Luv It (a deep coral) and Apple Cider (a very wearable mauve-y pink). I think Apple Cider is my favorite, but now that I know how easy these colors are to wear, I really want to try some of the really bold shades (like Razzberry – a bright fuchsia pink)! And I want to try some of the different glosses – they have a new range of Diamond colors and a Diamond gloss (made from real diamonds!) that has more shimmer and sparkle, as well as a matte gloss.

I LOVE LipSense!!! Can I add a couple tips?! New wearers might want to exfoliate their lips before the first time wearing it! And I like to make sure my lips are clean by running a cotton swab dipped in witch hazel over my lips! 🙂
Apple Cider is so pretty. I was afraid they’d only have dark shades but these are beautiful. I’ve never had a lipstick last all day so I’m eager to try these out.

For starters you have great looking pics that really bring out a great visual of how the lipstick actually looks on lips. Great job with the detail.
I’m a busy nurse practitioner so my makeup has to be one and done for the day. I heard about lipsense from a friend, tried it, worked great. Goes on smoothly and mine stays in place all day with just one application of the gloss topcoat. Some folks say you have to reapply the gloss to keep the lipstick in place, but that hasn’t been my experience. It truly is one and done. I also bought the Oops remover as the lip color does leave a mark so if you make a “mistake” the Oops remover is the best way to make a quick fix. Initially the lip color gave me a tingle. Not sure what that was about but was told it was a gentle exfoliation. I’ve checked the ingredients and don’t see anything alarming. Like this product and now have it in about 10 shades.
