So, I have two main skin problems and my sister has (nearly) solved them both! This is why it’s great to have a sister who’s the queen of beauty. She asked me to review Your Best Face (YBF)’s Quench and Correct.
The two problems:
Dry, cracked lips:
My lips were always chapped, and then I moved from the warm, humid south to cold, dry Boston! Ouch! I needed some serious help, which came in the form of YBF’s Quench lip treatment. It comes in slick blue and silver packaging, which is fun. But, the best thing about it is that it works! I have tried several other lip balms, from the regular Blistex and Carmex to other fancy lip treatments and none have worked as well. I have been using it for three weeks at the height of winter and my lips are about 70% better! I also love the non-greasy, smooth feel and the wide surface area for quick application.
My Beauty Bunny Scorecard (5 is the best):
- Packaging – 5/5
- Absorption/Grease Factor – 5/5
- Value – 4/5 (pricier than other brands)
- Scent – 5/5
- Overall – 4/5
Dark circles under eyes with dry skin:
I used to wear a lot of makeup to cover up my dark undereye circles. My skin gets very dry and the foundation usually ends up highlighting the dry skin under my eyes. I tried many products with varying degree of success, but YBF’s Correct Invigorating Eye Cream has fixed my dryness by about 90%! It’s non-greasy and I think it reduced dark circles a bit. I don’t have wrinkles yet, but it has antiaging ingredients to prevent future lines from forming. Here’s a breakdown.
For dark undereye circles:
- alpha arbutin
- licorice extract
- peptides
For puffiness and lines:
- antiaging peptides
- caffeine
- spicy nutmeg butter
- vitamins
- spin trap
- cucumber extract
For dryness:
- sodium hyaluronate
You can also put Correct in the fridge for a nice cool feeling when you apply. And, you can use it on your forehead and cheeks to combat dryness.
My Beauty Bunny Scorecard (5 is the best):
- Packaging – 5/5
- Absorption/Grease Factor – 5/5
- Value – 4/5
- Scent – 5/5
- Overall – 4/5
