How To Apply False Lashes featuring Urban Decay UrbanLash!
The idea of false lashes can be quite daunting at first. Are they uncomfortable? Will they fall off? Are they going to poke my eyes out? These are all questions that came to mind when I was first interested in trying false lashes. I’ll be the first to admit that when I began wearing falsies – I didn’t know what the heck I was doing! Sometimes they weren’t even laying on my lash line! Nowadays, I can’t get enough of my falsies – I LOVE how they can really take my eye makeup to the next level.
A big part of loving falsies is knowing how to apply them. I’ve developed somewhat of a “false lash routine” that makes it super easy to pop on a pair of falsies. Today I wanted to show you guys my step-by-step routine on how to get perfect lashes. I’ll be using the brand new, cruelty free Urban Decay UrbanLash in the style Tricked Out.
Follow these steps and you’ll be a falsie-pro in no time:
- Apply lash glue to lash band and let it sit for about thirty seconds or so to allow the glue to get tacky.
- While the glue is drying, curl lashes and apply one coat of mascara.
- Time to apply the falsies! Hold a handheld-mirror underneath chin and drop lashes down onto the lash line.
- Secure inner and outer corner of lash band.
- Apply a black eyeshadow underneath and on top of lash band for a seamless finish.

Simple, right? 😉 It may not be perfect right away, but you know what they say… practice makes perfect! So keep on trying and you’ll be able to easily apply falsies in no time at all!
As far as the Urban Decay UrbanLash goes, I really love these falsies! They’re brand new on the market and were recently released as a part of Urban Decay’s Fall 2016 Collection. The synthetic lashes sit nicely on my natural lashes and the band is reasonably comfortable. At first, I found the lash band quite stiff but I broke them in after one or two wears and they have been comfortable ever since.
I have two styles – Tricked Out and Entrapment. If you watched the tutorial above, you saw how beautiful Tricked Out is! It has a gorgeous flared-wing shape with just enough volume and length. The lashes have a criss-cross pattern to them, which allow them to blend in with my natural lashes quite well. Personally, I love this style and am definitely going to be wearing them a lot this Fall!!
The second style is called Entrapment. Entrapment is more natural than the previous style. It has a rounded shape with medium volume and length. Nothing too crazy, but just a little something to make my eyes pop! Again, the quality is definitely there and they’re super comfortable to wear.
So there you go! That’s the low down on how to apply falsies and a mini review of the brand new UrbanLash by Urban Decay! As you can tell – I’m a bit of a lash fanatic so I hope this helps you guys! Who knows, maybe one day you’ll love falsies just as much as I do! 😉
