If you haven’t heard, bareMinerals came out with a new collection a little bit ago called their READY collection. Remember how nearly every product that bareMinerals sold was a loose powder? Great color, but a bit messy and inconvenient? Well now the company has addressed that with their READY collection; a collection of eyeshadows, bronzer, and blush that are the same mineral formulas only pressed.
These are the two duos that I recently tried, The Last Call and The Cliff Hanger
The Last Call duo consists of Shaken (left) and On the Rocks (right). I would say Shaken is a close dupe for MAC’s Winkle, which is great since Estee Lauder companies are no longer cruelty-free. On the other hand, On the Rocks is black with a beautiful blue shimmer. The shadows have a color payoff that exceeded my expectations, and if you play around with mixing the two colors, the two can work into a beautiful simple smoky eye.
The Cliff Hanger duo includes Suspense (left) and Awe (right). Obviously this duo is much more subdued than The Last Call. It’s a perfect everyday duo to provide just a little bit of contouring for the eye. Suspense is a light taupe color while Awe is a warm gray with a very, very slight red shimmer. This duo would be perfect for somebody with a warmer skin tone.
The new READY eyeshadow 2.0 colors applied incredibly smoothly and were very true-to-color. What you see, is what you get and there’s no catch. BareMinerals currently has 21 different color combinations in their READY collection, so be sure to check them all out!
