BareMinerals SPF 20 Foundation is the latest in the bareMinerals “Ready” line. It’s a pressed mineral powder foundation that comes in a TON of shades (20 to be exact). The company sent me a press sample in “Medium Beige” (pictured above), and although I usually need the lightest shade from any line, this color is actually working for me. It blends so well into your own skin, that you can fudge on the exact shade a bit and it still looks completely natural.
It’s got hydrating ingredients, but don’t worry oily skin gals. The mineral foundation won’t make you break out. It’s actually perfect for combination or oily skin because it doesn’t clog pores and it doesn’t have a shiny finish like some liquid foundations.
Our proprietary solid mineral technology will give you a completely new perspective on what a foundation can do for you. Invisible long-wearing coverage beautifully covers everything yet feels like nothing. No visible trace of makeup—nothing to see except your best skin ever. And a 108% increase in skin hydration* keeps your skin feeling smooth, fresh and younger-looking. The more you use it, the better your skin looks. (*After 12 hours of wear.)
The foundation is long-wearing, and super easy to apply on the go. You can keep a small, retractable kabuki brush in your purse and apply if you need a touch-up. As with all mineral makeup, you control the coverage. Using a brush with shorter, more compact bristles will give you more coverage.

I do love mineral makeup but, like most of us, don’t love the mess it can create, so this looked interesting. Medium Beige is my color in their matte line (although I think those shades are also pretty forgiving, I know I wore Light years ago)… and it looks like it’s about the same color in this formula.

I love the idea of a pressed mineral foundation.

This looks like a really nice foundation. Glad to learn that it has an SPF of 20. Liked your tip about using a brush with shorter bristles to get more coverage. Excellent tip

I love Bare Minerals foundation. I’ve been using it for ever 8 years now, and it has helped me control my acne while providing enough cover up. I also like the compact power design better than the loose power!!
