What girl doesn’t love soaking in a hot, deliciously scented bath to unwind and pamper herself? But after you blow out the aromatherapy candles, drain the tub and turn the lights on, you realize that whatever bath potion you used to scent and soften your skin now coats the tub.
Either you ruin the mood by scrubbing out your bath tub or you leave it and turn your next bathing experience into a grimy slip n’ slide. The vegan Rainforest Restoration Coconut Mango Bath Bliss by cruelty free brand, Bella Lucce, eliminates this problem with a luxurious soak somewhere between a bath tea and a milk bath – although this product is vegan – so no milk!
The key is the steeping ball, which looks like a large metal tea diffuser and holds the product, allowing it to scent and soften your bathwater without residue. The Bath Bliss contains Epsom Salts to relieve muscle tension, coconut milk to soothe the skin and real mango bits, which contain Vitamin A, C and Beta Carotene.
I loved the convenience of this product before I even opened it but what really won me over was the scent. “Good enough to eat” doesn’t come close. It smelled fruity and tropical and delicious and I’ve probably taken more baths in the past month than I have in the last year since using this product.
Bella Lucce, which means “beautiful glow” in Italian, touts itself as “a smart, savvy, chic collection of naturally-focused skincare products, inspired by the farthest reaches of the globe; produced with a profound respect for the earth and her people.” The company seeks to bridge the gulf between ‘natural’ and ‘luxury’ products, creating an array of beauty and bath products that are both environmentally and ecologically sound as well as effective and pampering.
Bella Lucce sources their ingredients from over 26 countries and works with various charitable organizations to give back to and strengthen the local communities that provide their source ingredients. The more I read about this company, the more impressed I was by their commitment to the health and well-being of the individual and the environment. In addition to being certified by PETA as a cruelty-free company, Bella Lucce’s manufacturing facility is certified as “Carbon Neutral” by TerraPass.
This product gets three big thumbs-up from me. One for it’s gorgeously lush scent and nurturing skincare ingredients, one for the company’s commitment to nature and cruelty-free practices, and one for giving me a new excuse to curl up with a good book after my bath instead of cleaning the tub.
