I’ve been wanting to try hair extensions for some time now. When Irresistible Me Hair Extensions contacted me and asked if I wanted to try out their 100% natural remy hair, I said heck yeah! I took the quiz on their website, and looked at all the options.
What Hair Extensions Did I Get?
I had no experience with clip in extensions, so I asked my hair guru, Patricia Lynn Laas, what to get. She recommended the Silky Chocolate Brown, 14 inches, 140 grams. For reference, the lengths available are from 14″ to 24″ and the weight (amount of hair) available is 100 grams, 140 grams or 200 grams. This is quality hair, but there are other, even more premium options if you want higher quality. I was happy with what I received, and I didn’t even need all of the wefts.
So, Patricia came over to my apartment, and we planned on filming a video tutorial. We set up the camera, started talking, and she put in the extensions and styled my hair with a curling iron, some hair clips, and my Paul Mitchell heat protectant and hairspray.
We were so proud of ourselves, until I looked at the computer and realized iMovie had decided to stop filming about half way through! Seriously?! So, here are screenshots of the “before” look when we were about to put in the hair extensions.
Look how excited I am to tell you about Irresistible Me Hair Extensions! 😀
Here’s an “after” pic of me happy with my hair extensions and Patricia happily taking photos and spreading social media love:
And here’s the pic of my face when I realized the camera had stopped filming halfway through (this one’s the best – laughter and smiles turning to ohhhhhh nooooooo!):
But, it’s all good – we took plenty of after pics, and I paid attention to what Patricia was doing, so I can tell you all about it!
What’s in the Box?
So, first things first. The kit comes with a sample piece of hair so you can test the color. Be sure to open that part of the packet first, check the color, and if you need to return it, you can. If you open the main package with the hair wefts, you won’t be able to return it. I think that’s a pretty awesome way to avoid spending money on the wrong type of extensions.
The set I ordered came with one large hair weft with 4 small clips (including rubber buffers so they don’t cause hair fall-out), 2 wefts with 3 clips, 2 wefts with 2 clips, 2 wefts with one clip, and some extra clips in case you need to replace them or add extras to keep them in place.
How to Style
Patricia put most of my hair on top of my head with a hair clip, pulled out one circular strip of hair near the nape of my neck (from ear to ear), and applied a 3 clip weft above it. She teased my hair a bit at the roots (my hair is very fine) and added a bit of hairspray to make sure they would stay put. If you have thicker hair, you probably wouldn’t need to do this.
Then she pulled out another layer of hair, and added the largest weft (4 clips) above that one. She then added the rest of the wefts in a similar manner, making sure to leave my real hair out on the top and sides. As she put in wefts, she curled the hair softly with a 1 inch curling iron to mesh my hair with the extensions.
The result was amazing – I had so much hair! I had dream hair! It was just enough to make my hair look amazing without making me look like I was wearing a wig. Could I add more? Maybe, but I was pretty thrilled with this amount – my hair was slightly longer and thicker – just what I wanted. It felt very glam!
Even though I have red highlights that show up in sunlight, the chocolate brown hair extensions fit in perfectly. They look good indoors and outdoors!
These are great to have on hand for a night out or special occasion. If you’re not ready for semi-permanent hair extensions, this is the perfect solution. And all hair is 100% human remy hair – so it’s cruelty free!
And if you are in the Los Angeles area, and you need a hair refresher (expert cuts, cruelty free hair coloring, hair treatments, styling, red carpet services), go see Patricia Lynn Laas at 8383 Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills. She’s amazing!

Nice hair extension and no one can identify, whether it is fake or real.
