Blogger Event Wrap Up: Beauty Forecast, LuckyFabb and Spark & Hustle

SO many beauty events in the past week! First I went to the Spring/Summer Beauty Forecast at the Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy. I got a microzone treatment from Dermalogica, brow shaping from Kelley Baker Brows, shampoo/blowout, and makeup application. I spent the next couple of days at LuckyFabb West, a conference put on by Lucky Magazine for fashion and beauty bloggers in Los Angeles. The two-day event drew hundreds of fashion bloggers and beauty bloggers, in addition to celebs, beauty brands, fashion industry insiders, and magazine editors. I got to hear keynote speakers, Kelly Osbourne and Drew Barrymore, and I got to snag a pic with Betsey Johnson! OMG! How cute is she?! I got to hang with some of my favorite beauty bloggers, Christina from The Makeup Blogger, Marie Denee from The Curvy Fashionista (Marie was picked to be Lucky’s fashion week blogger!), Cybele from Cybele Says, and others.

There are some bloggers I have spoken to online for years, but just got the chance to meet them in person this week! I met the very sweet Kristie of Blushing Basics, Cindy of Hello Dollface and Christina from Inspirations & Celebrations.

We got some awesome Julie Vos jewelry. Check out the gorgeous Horn Pendant Julie gifted to me!

We also got to try on some gorgeous Tacori rings (we didn’t get to keep ’em though – darn!).

Then, a few days later, cruelty free bath and body brand, LATHER, invited me to the Spark & Hustle conference put on by Tory Johnson.

I got to learn about sales and marketing for small businesses from LATHER’s founder, Emilie Hoyt, and the gals from Fresh Events Co (the ones that put on Pamper Me Fabulous events). It was very inspiring and I took lots of notes!

Now after all that, it’s time to settle down and get some work done! Whew!
