When I go too long without getting my brows done, I usually try to keep them trimmed and shaped, and for some reason they always turn into upside down U’s with bald spots. Not so good at doing my own brows. That’s why I was super excited to get my brows done for the holidays at Marco Pelusi Hair Studio by Ashley Smith from Polaris Cosmetics (founded by Cristina Romeo).
Ashley is a makeup and brow expert who got me cleaned up and looking good! She used only tweezers to shape my brows (no wax!), and told me where I need to leave them alone (hard to do!). The before picture is pretty embarrassing, but hey – it shows what a pro Ashley is!

I learned the best trick ever from eyebrow extraordinaire Eugenia Westin – after marking for the inner, outer, and arch, line up your pencil starting at the opposite eye’s inner corner and running in a straight line to the point of the arch on the brow you’re working on. That creates a guide line for the perfect upward angle. It avoids the rounded look…or in my case, the too straight look 🙂 My brows have never looked better!
