NOTE: I have just been informed that Revlon is NOT cruelty free. They conduct 3rd party testing and are now on PETA’s DO TEST list.
Among all the Revlon products, I personally prefer their nail polishes before anything. These little .5 oz glass bottles hold an array of high quality colors that make a cute statement. Best of all the liquid drys on your fingernails in only moments unlike cheaper brands.
What makes this product even better, besides the fact that it’s cruelty free, is that the application is really smooth. While applying my favorite color, Midnight Affair 791 (a deep blue color), the polish goes on neatly and evenly creating a salon manicure look for much less.
One thing I was not so fond of was the thickness of the nail polish. The brush clings on to a lot of polish at once. This could potentially cause you to put too much, there’s a solution though. I fixed the thickness problem by simply adding water to the bottle (Editor’s Note: you might want to use nail polish thinner – not remover or water – thanks Jen and Shanna for the tip!). Once that’s done this product is basically flawless in every way a nail polish could be.
Being that the going rate for a bottle of Revlon Nail Enamel is about six dollars this product may be a little on the expensive side if you want a massive collection. I can assure you that it is worth the money because the product delivers. I have had my oldest bottle of nail polish for about two years now and the color is still great. That’s why Revlon ranks number one when it comes to my favorite cruelty free nail polish brands.

Adding water to a bottle of polish as a way to thin it out is a good way to ruin the polish. Thick polish should be fixed with nail polish thinner (not remover)
That said, Revlon has been putting out great shades lately! I haven't tried the one mentioned in this post. 🙂

Yes Revlon isn't bad at all, but if you say that a bottle is $6, and you have to add water to make it better, then it isn't that cheap anymore. One that I like on the cheaper side with perfect formula is Rimmel long lasting . I've got a bottle of Rimmel nailpolish color wild orchid and I love it. Super easy to apply, great larger flatter brush then most nail polish bottles, and really last a long time.

lol WATER IS NOT GOOD FOR NAIL POLISH. They make polish thinner for these sorts of things

I love Sinful Colors, they're formulas are potent and they last a long time if paired with a good top coat and a base coat.

I fine Revlon polishes to be quite inconsistent. My fave budget brand is–by far–Sinful Colors

I have to second the comments about water. Use nail polish thinner.
