In years gone by, having to wear glasses could be a real drama, particularly for younger people in their teens and twenties. However, gone are the days when a pair of glasses stopping you from having great fashion sense and a look. These days, glasses can be cool, hip and even sexy – providing you choose the right pair, of course.
From fictitious characters such as Harry Potter through to Hollywood celebrities such as Johnny Depp and Tina Fey, there are many high-profile figures that have put specs firmly back on the trendsetting map. This is great news for those who have less than perfect vision, as it means that they can wear their specs with pride and simply count them as an accessory. This, coupled with options such as laser eye surgery from specialists such as Optimax, means that consumers these days have far more choice.
Which glasses do you choose?
Even better news for those who wear glasses is that there is a huge variety of spectacle styles to choose from these days, including a range of stylish designer ones. With the days of having to skulk around in a pair of bottle-bottomed National Health specs well and truly gone, you can now choose glasses that reflect your style and personality as well as complement and accessorize your fashion sense perfectly.
One way to pick the right glasses is to look at which specs suit your face. So, rather than focusing on the color of the frames, designer or make, or what your favorite celebrity is wearing, focus on which glasses really complement your face. This will help to ensure that you look great in your glasses no matter what the occasion and no matter what outfit you are wearing. You can even get prescription sunglasses.
Basing your choice on the shape of your face.
A key part of choosing glasses that suit your face is to look at the shape of your face, as certain types of frames look better on particular face shapes. By looking at your face shape you can determine which glasses are going to look best. You should also consider factors such as your hair color, skin color and complexion in order to make your choice.
When it comes to face shapes and spectacle frames, here are a few tips.
Oval faces: Those with oval-shaped faces have the luxury of being able to choose from a range of glasses, as they can carry off many different frame styles. For a particularly good fit, opt for frames that are as wide as the broadest part of the face.
Rectangular faces: If you have a rectangular face, you will find that square frames in a larger size can look the best. These can help to balance the face more, as they can shorten its appearance.
Triangular faces: For those with a broader forehead and narrow-chinned face, glasses that are wider at the bottom can be ideal. These will draw attention away from the broader top part of the face and help to achieve a more balanced look.
Square faces: If you have a square face, it is important to choose glasses that help to soften the shape and create a more rounded look. Opting for narrow, oval frames can help to achieve this goal without resulting in the severe contrast that completely round glasses would create.
Round faces: To help add some length to a round face shape, it is advisable to go for angular, narrow frames. Opt for a rectangular frame shape that helps to create more balance when it comes to the shape of the face.
When it comes to matching your frames with your hair color, there are different frame shades that will suit different people. For those with fair hair and skin, dramatic frames are best avoided. Instead, consider clear frames, soft-colored or metal ones, as these will complement your face rather than taking over.
If you have darker hair and/or darker skin, you can generally opt for something more dramatic. So you can consider darker or patterned frames that really stand out and draw attention to your face. How about a cute pair of cat eye glasses?
Of course, another important factor when it comes to choosing the right frames is to try on various pairs of glasses to find ones that you feel comfortable with. It is advisable to take someone you trust along with you for a second opinion, as this will help to ensure you choose glasses that really suit your face.

Great Information!!!
Every Time I got confused while purchasing my eyeshades. Now, I realise that we simply need to determine our face shape and coloring, and understand which eyeglass frame styles and colors would look best on us.
Also, Eye frame color should match our personal features, contrast with our face shape and size.
Thank You!!
