Ottlite Makeup Mirror

Press-Sample-Affiliate-LinksGetting the perfect look with a poorly lit mirror isn’t easy. I shouldn’t have to go to extreme lengths just to see what color my foundation actually is or to make sure my eye shadow matches my dress. I’m just as tired of it as you are, leading to my trial of the OttLite Natural Makeup Mirror.

According to OttLite, this mirror helps you “create any look like an expert.” While the mirror might not turn you into a makeup specialist, let me guide you through the features that help make this makeup mirror a little different than any other you’ve used before.

Magnification

I don’t know about you, but being able to see my eyes close up and personal makes applying eyeliner much easier. I may not love seeing my pores so close, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make. The dual-sided mirror offers 1x magnification on one side and 5x magnification on the other.

Get The Right Angle

I could use my bathroom or vanity mirror, but the angle is never right. Part of my face always seems like it’s in shadow. The OttLite Natural Makeup Mirror tilts, allowing for multiple angles to avoid uneven makeup application.

Reveal True Skin Tones

The mirror features Natural Daylight Illumination, an important lighting feature for any makeup mirror. What’s the difference? Have you ever stepped outside of a too bright (or too yellow) bathroom only to have your makeup look completely different in the sun? Me too.

With this lighting, you can see your true skin tones along with hair color for mistake-proof application. The best part is no embarrassing color faux pas after meticulously doing your makeup and hair.

Long Lasting Light

I hate makeup mirrors that seem to need new bulbs every few weeks. The two 13 watt bulbs are rated to last as long as 10,000 hours a piece and it’s easy to order replacement bulbs when you need them.

Don’t worry about sitting next to a hot mirror. I use those for photography and filming, and it’s not pleasant to feel like your makeup is running off as you heat up! These energy efficient bulbs are low heat and easy on your skin and eyes.

Easy Operation

The 13 inch mirror with 5 inch x 11 inch base is easy to operate. I love the long cord which makes it easy to set the mirror up nearly anywhere. A simple On/Off switch prevents having to learn complicated settings. Titling is straight-forward as well. One of my favorite parts is how easy it is to store. The mirror folds flat for storage in drawers, cabinets, and suitcases, making it perfect for a travel mirror.

Buying The Mirror

The mirror is available from Ottlite, Amazon, and Jo-Ann Fabric And Craft Stores. It’s available in multiple colors, but white and black are the two most common. Prices range from $49.99 to $99.99.

I’ll have to agree with you – the long cord is a plus. It allows you to move the mirror freely.

Thanks a lot for the post appreciated.
