The Makeup Show is coming to town! I’ll be attending the press preview to learn about the latest beauty launches, so I can share them with you. If you’re a beauty professional (makeup artist, stylist, beauty blogger, student, etc) and you’re thinking about going, I have a list of cruelty free brands who will be at the show (below).

First, a conversation with James Vincent, celebrity makeup artist and Director of Education and Artist Relations for The Makeup Show, regarding his favorite cruelty free beauty and makeup brands:

The idea of cruelty free beauty is something I have been passionate about since my first step into the industry under my mentor Anita Roddick creator of The Body Shop. Here are a list of a few of my favorite cruelty free brands with us at this weekend’s The Makeup Show Los Angeles.

The Body Shop joins us for the first time at The Makeup Show LA. The Body Shop’s passion for cruelty free business with a conscience inspired a generation of brands to follow suit. They are internationally recognized for their lead in the fight against animal testing. Every ingredient meets the highest standards and the Leaping Bunny logo is placed proudly on their products. A few of my faves…The Body Shop Matcha Mask is 100% vegan and brilliant after a long day, and The Body Shop Tea Tree range is a must have for the artist on the go… As always The Body Shop continues in The Body Shop tradition of Forever Against Animal Testing.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics launched their Lip Tar at The Makeup Show LA eight years ago and this year they will be sold at Alcone NYC. Their ability to break the thought that cruelty free meant boring is best represented in their always innovative color palette. Lip Tar is the original liquid lipstick and has spawned a slew of imitators but none can compare to the pigment and quality of the OG.

Charlotte Tilbury has developed one of the most popular lines of the last few years. She allows anyone to achieve glamour in a few easy steps and the line is completely cruelty free. Try Charlotte’s Retoucher for the most effortless under eye concealer and her Wonder Glow and Gold Bar are ideal for her signature gorgeous style.

Urban Decay has always been know for their beautiful bold color range and their strong stance against animal testing. Their new Heavy Metal Holiday Collection continues to impress with the most intense pigment and the perfect amount of shimmer and shine.

Ritual de Fille is one if my favorite new brands. Developed by the talented Ramos siblings, these sisters have created a curated line that makeup artists love. Stop by the Frends Beauty booth and check out their Eclipse Inner Glow Creme or the wide range of Ash and Ember Eye Soots for the most magical of makeup applications.
