The seasons are changing, pumpkin spice lattes are here, and it’s time for a new Fall cruelty free hair color update by my go-to hair guru, Patricia Lynn Laas! I always feel like a million bucks after getting my hair cut and colored by Patricia. She started as my hair stylist but has become a friend. Her upbeat, positive energy and lack of pretentiousness is refreshing (especially in the Beverly Hills area!). Plus, she really does care about animal testing, and will go to great lengths to find cruelty free salon brands to use on my hair.
I went to see her recently, and she decided to use three different It&Ly colors on me with minimal peroxide (20 volume – only on some areas). She did a darker base color (chocolate brown) and then used two deep red tones to give it some pizzazz. I don’t have greys (yet) so I really just need something that will give my hair some dimension and won’t look boring or faded. My hair looked so amazing after the cut and color – so shiny! I was like, “who’s hair is this?” It’s like sexy chocolate – I love it!
After the cut and color, she dried my hair with a Dyson hair dryer (with diffuser attachment) to get some of the natural curls to come out of hiding. Then she used a curling iron to give me more defined curls. Wow – I wish I could get this look at home, but I’m definitely lacking the skills and the patience!
If you’re in the LA area, go see her. Tell her Jen from My Beauty Bunny sent ya!
