I went to a pumpkin patch and corn maze Saturday with the boyfriend’s fam. It was fun and I’m very excited about my BLUE Australian pumpkin – it’s totally a Tiffany’s box/Robin’s Egg blue! I’ve never seen anything like it!
Did you know pumpkin pulp is great for your skin? It has exfoliating enzymes, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Zinc to clear and brighten. Here’s a budget, DIY pumpkin mask recipe from Care2. I can’t bear to cut up my new pumpkin just yet, but here are some alternatives.
- Jeune d’Age Glycolic Acid Pumpkin Masque – contains glycolic acid for extra exfoliation as well as bilberry, sugar cane, Vitamin B, Vitamin E and antioxidants.
- Naturopathica Pumpkin Purifying Enzyme Peel – contains cinnamon bark, oregano and rosemary to purify oily and congested skin.
- Zia Pumpkin Exfoliating Mask – contains pineapple, carrot juice, Vitamin E and Frankincense oil to help clear and lighten skin.
- JoElle Skincare Ultra Luxe Pumpkin Peel (Review by Kelly from Gouldylox Reviews) – also contains papaya and pineapple enzymes and alpha and beta hydroxy acids.
- DIY Pumpkin Foot Scrub – from Stephanie of All Things Beautiful

I knew that pumpkin was good for your skin. Just a plain mask of pumpkin puree works wonders.
That blue pumpkin is really cool.

Pumpkin makes an excellent face mask ingredient for all skin types, especially environmentally damaged or sensitive skin. High in Vitamin A (skin healing), C (anti-oxidant) and Zinc, the pumpkin soothes, moisturizes and acts as a carrier, assisting the other mask ingredients to absorb deeper into the skin and intensifying the results.
