There are tons of dental hygiene products that help with making teeth whiter. But many of these are not cruelty free, expensive and laden with chemicals. If you do not have the budget for it, or if you have a tendency to develop allergies with synthetic products, you can look into your kitchen for cruelty free teeth whitening and dental health solutions.
Below are some suggestions:
• Pineapples. This fruit contains an enzyme called bromelain, which acts as a stain remover. It’s also effective in loosening the plaque that forms in the teeth, as bromelain works to break up the bacteria in it. Plaque build-up can hurt the teeth enamel, weakening it against cavity formation.
• Onions. Although it can cause smelly breath, onions actually contain sulfur compounds that help with tooth decay that causes the teeth to discolor and have cavities. It’s best to eat onions raw, as cooking will affect the compounds needed to help with teeth care.
• Strawberries. Delicious and juicy strawberries have a reputation for being teeth polishers. They contain malic acid enzymes that make the teeth whiter and shinier. Even the Academy of General Dentistry swears by its effects. To make strawberries even more effective, you can mix this with baking soda and then rub this on the teeth. Leave it on for five to ten minutes before washing off with water. If you do this regularly, you will see the desired results.
• Sesame Seeds. Use sesame seeds to scrub sticky plaque off your teeth. This ingredient is also rich in calcium and will provide your teeth with all the right nutrients to keep it healthy.
• Ginger. As a spicy ingredient, ginger makes food taste delicious. But it is also known as a medical wonder because it has anti-inflammatory properties. For people suffering from periodontal diseases, using ginger as a cure can help with tissue regeneration, or curb inflammation of the gums. Treat your mouth problems with ginger to achieve a sweet, healthy smile.
• Carrots. Because they contain Vitamin A, carrots make the enamel of the teeth stronger. Using this as a cleanser also helps. In fact, simply chewing carrots offers instant brushing action with your teeth.
Use any of these kitchen ingredients with care, as teeth can be very sensitive and fragile. Too much acid from fruits and vegetables may bring side effects that could affect the gums and your overall oral health.
Whitening the teeth is also a problem with people wearing braces and these kitchen solutions should work well for it. Other tips for lingual braces maintenance are also available at http://bracescostinfo.com.

It’s a good thing that all of these are present in the kitchen. However, we need to be reminded that too much of these will bring bad effects to gums and teeth since these contain acids. And too much is bad. Very good post!
