Thursdays with Cheeky Rox: LashFood Review
The Holiday season is upon us! YAY! I love everything about this time of year – the joy in the air, the cheerful music everywhere, and of course holiday makeup looks! Nothing pulls a makeup look together better than gorgeous lashes. In order to prepare for all of the exciting makeup looks I want to wear this year, I’ve been using some lash-enhancing products from the cruelty-free brand, LashFood. LashFood created the first EcoCert eyelash conditioning products to hit the market. Unlike most other brands, their lash-enhancing products are all-natural, paraben-free, cruelty-free and formulated without harsh chemicals. I’ve been using LashFood’s Lash Transformation System, which includes five conditioning products:
- The Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer (EcoCert Certified)
- Conditioning Liquid Eyeliner
- Conditioning Lash Primer
- Conditioning Drama Mascara
- Conditioning Instant Eye Makeup Remover
As a system, the products will give you a lash-enhancing treatment all day and night. The eyeliner, lash primer, and mascara condition your lashes during the day while you’re wearing makeup, and the Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer does some deep conditioning as you sleep. You’re even getting an extra conditioning treatment as you remove your makeup with the Conditioning Instant Eye Makeup Remover. I love that the complete system basically gives you 24-hours of conditioning treatment!
I’ve been applying the Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer every night after removing my makeup and washing my face. The brush-tip applicator makes it super easy to apply. I basically just run the brush along my lashes and let the Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer work it’s magic as I sleep. The formula is clinically proven and promotes longer, fuller, and healthier lashes. I haven’t had any irritation with the Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer, which makes me super happy! Even us gals with sensitive skin can enjoy lash-enhancing products with LashFood 🙂
I’ve never used a product quite like the Conditioning Liquid Eyeliner. An eyeliner that actually helps grow full and healthy lashes while you’re wearing it?! Yes please! I’m a sucker for multi-use cosmetics, so this really hits the nail on the head for me. I mean, who wouldn’t want an eyeliner infused with conditioning treatment? On top of that, I really like the eyeliner itself. It’s a liquid liner, so the brush-tip applicator makes it a breeze to create a smooth line across the upper lashes. The color is super black and very nicely pigmented. It also has a semi-waterproof formula so it lasts all day long. If you’re going to be wearing eyeliner anyways, this is such a great option because it’s actually helping to grow and lengthen your lashes at the same time!
After applying the Conditioning Liquid Eyeliner, I’ll go in with a coat of the Conditioning Lash Primer and the Conditioning Drama Mascara. The same concept applies – conditioning treatment right inside your eye makeup. The lash primer has extending fibers that attach to your lashes and help prepare for the mascara. After the primer, I go ahead and apply the Conditioning Drama Mascara. This mascara has a nice, super black pigmentation and definitely doesn’t smear throughout the day.
Now once the day is done and it’s time to remove my makeup, I turn to the LashFood Conditioning Instant Eye Makeup Remover. This stuff is amazing! It’s one of the best makeup removers I’ve ever tried because the two-phase formula really does remove all of my eye makeup easily (even waterproof!). There’s no tugging or pressing involved, which obviously minimizes lash loss during the makeup removal process. I seriously love that this is an all-in-one system. You get your nighttime treatment, your daytime treatment, and an effective conditioning makeup remover to boot! Although LashFood states that you will see maximum lash-enhancing results in as little as 4 weeks, I’ve only been using the Lash Transformation System for about 2 weeks and already see a difference in my lashes. They definitely look fuller, stronger, and more voluminous. I’m going to continue using the system for a few more weeks, but I wanted to get this review up sooner rather than later because I think this would be an awesome present to give or receive this Holiday season!
