Egyptian Rose Soap Cartel

By Abi Mogge: Staff Writer

Handmade soaps are everywhere these days – we all love the gorgeous, unique fragrances and the simplicity of a product whose ingredients and manufacturing process are known. What sets these gorgeous vegan bars from Soap Cartel apart is their ridiculously amazing SCENTS and their high-quality performance. I loved that I could smell the soaps through the cardboard when I picked up the box at the post office.

DetoxCampaign

The two full-sized bars I tried were ‘Detox Campaign’ and ‘Egyptian Rose’. ‘Detox Campaign’ is an activated charcoal bar with a slightly gritty texture that is great for breakout-prone areas. My facial skin is sensitive so I couldn’t use it every day, but I loved this after a workout, to get really clean. This bar combines Eucalyptus and Australian Tea Tree Oil and I think it’s a great bar for oilier skin types or if you really want a deep clean. ‘Egyptian Rose’ is a lovely pink bar with a lighter, more delicate texture and gorgeous rose-bergamot fragrance. It uses pink rose clay to deep clean while still being gentle. I also received a variety pack of Soap Stix which are perfectly sized for the gym or travel. The fragrance is so fresh and powerful without being overpowering. Love!

The Soap Cartel is based out of New York City and they use natural and sustainable ingredients to create their hand-crafted, cold-pressed soaps. They strike a great balance for those who want all-natural, sustainable products that are still luxurious and decadent.
