DIY Beauty Tips

in Body, Budget, Combination Skin, Dry Skin, Hair, Misc, Skin on 10/08/13

We’re all trying to save a little money, and one of the best places to start is with your beauty routine. Some items are splurge-worthy and some aren’t. Which beauty products to splurge on is an entirely personal decision. Personally, I think my Tarte foundation, DermOrganic hair products and my holy grail, It Cosmetics Brow Power, eyebrow pencil are worth spending a little more on. It might be worth it to you to buy more expensive nail polish that is 3-free or 5-free (no nasty toxins), or slightly more expensive skincare products that are made with non-harmful ingredients that actually work! So where can you skimp? Here are some tips on ways to stretch your dollar by using products you probably have in your kitchen!

    Hi,
These are great tips that will for sure save money!
But I wonder: is it safe to melt the lipstick in the microwave? I mean doesn’t that alter the chemical compounds in the lipstick?

Wow I love these tips! Especially the remedy for puffy eyes. Using raw potato is cheap and yet effective & useful.

Again! thanks for the beauty tips. I love diy beauty treatments. By the way, is there a specific ratio of the olive oil to the water? approx. and oh also the scrub?
