Ever wonder what all those long scientific ingredients on the backs of your facial care products mean? There is a simpler way to remedy problematic skin without the questionable chemicals. Stop paying big bucks for expensive cleansers with unidentifyable ingredients. Some of nature’s finest facial products can be found in your very own grocery store. Nature can provide organic ingredients to satisfy the needs of your skin without costing your entire paycheck.
Sensitive Skin: Aloe is a great ingredient in many cleansers and facial products for people with sensitive skin. A natural soothing component, Aloe does not irritate skin; rather it reduces the redness that comes along with cleansing sensitive skin. Aloe is also known for soothing and healing sunburns.
To make Aloe Vera cleanser, pick up a bottle of pure aloe vera from the nearest drug store. Mix ¼ cup of it with 2 tablespoons of whole milk. Dairy is great for sensitive skin, because the fat in the milk is very moisturizing and hydrating while the aloe soothes irritation without adding any more distress. Massage the natural cleanser into your skin and allow to briefly soak in before rinsing off with a warm washcloth.
Dry Skin: Did you know that honey is nature’s most potent moisturizing agent for the skin? Honey is great for people who suffer from dry skin but it doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts. Easily found in the grocery store, it is a little known fact that nature’s sticky nectar could be so beneficial.
For a dry skin facial treatment, try a honey and olive oil mask. Add 1/3 cup of honey with 1/3 cup of olive oil, and microwave it for 20 seconds. Make sure it’s not too hot! Apply the mixture onto the face for about 20 minutes. Wipe off with a warm washcloth and enjoy how soft your skin is.
Oily Skin: Grapefruit is not just a delicious breakfast fruit. It also has many skin-saving properties for those suffering from acne, congested, or oily skin. The citric acid cleanses and tones as well as soaks up a lot of the natural oils that the skin releases daily.
To make a grapefruit facial scrub, take ½ of a peeled grapefruit and put it in a blender with 1/3 cup of orange juice and about a whole cup of granulated sugar. Blend until smooth, adding more juice if necessary. Mix until it is a thick, slushy consistency. Gently exfoliate your face and allow the grapefruit juice to condition, cleanse and tone any oily skin. Wipe off with a warm wash cloth and cleanse.
Although drugstore facial cleansers may be easy and convenient to use, a lot of products include harsh chemicals and ingredients that do harm to your skin over time. Even more expensive facial care systems contain toxic ingredients so it’s always important to read your labels and know your ingredients. Even as a monthly treatment at home, try out one of these natural recipes for the skin and see for yourself the wonderful, healthy benefits of cleansing and treating your skin with natural products.

My grandmother used the white of an egg as a mask (not beaten). It left her skin smooth, clean and glowing, as if she had just had an expensive facial!

if you want to remain cruelty-free, skip the milk. and i've read that citric acid is actually irritating to sensitive skin. i just read the other day that, of all the oils, castor oil is the least comedogenic. i intend to tinker around with it in the next few weeks. i have a friend who swears by pomegranate seed oil. she gets compliments on her skin all the time.

The issue of comparison doesn't only stops there, it merely includes the cost, study verification and even the availability it has for the consumer. They tend to scrutinize every little part of it to evaluate things and see who's really reigning as the best treatment. This will also entice people at the same time.

Natural skin care is good. We should also consider the expenses. If expensive, try a lesser of cost. Like the coconut oil, that's will work good. Try a lesser one, if nothing will happen, then try the castor oil. Castor oil perform great to our skin.

great post! but… you do not want to heat up honey!!! when honey is exposed to heat it looses all its antioxidants and all the good stuff for you. It is killed by the heat! never heat up honey! i even stopped using honey in my tea while it’s hot a lot of the time.
