DIY Vegan Face Mask Recipes for All Skin Types

in Acne-prone, Budget, Dry Skin, Misc, Oily Skin, Skin, Vegan on 10/11/23

Hey, beauty bunnies! Today I’m sharing four easy DIY vegan face mask recipes that you can make with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. These masks are affordable, perfect for any skin type, and they’re all cruelty-free and vegan.

vegan avocado face mask recipe

Hydrating Face Mask

This vegan face mask recipe is perfect for all skin types, but it is especially beneficial for dry skin. It contains avocado, which is rich in fatty acids and vitamins that help to hydrate and nourish the skin. Honey is a natural humectant, which means that it helps to draw moisture into the skin.

To make this mask, mash 1/2 avocado and mix it with 1 tablespoon of shea butter or vegetable glycerin. Apply the mask to your clean, damp skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with cool water and pat your face dry. Finish with coconut oil or your favorite hydrating moisturizer.

strawberry and clay vegan face mask

Oily Skin Face Mask

This vegan face mask is perfect for oily skin because it contains strawberries, which contain salicylic acid that helps to break down dead skin cells. It also contains jojoba oil, which is a non-comedogenic oil that is similar to the skin’s natural oils, and kaolin clay, which draws out impurities.

To make this mask, mash 4 strawberries and mix them with 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil and 1/4 teaspoon of white kaolin clay. Apply the mask to your clean, damp skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with cool water and pat your face dry. Finish with your favorite cruelty-free moisturizer.

banana turmeric vegan face mask

Acne-Prone Skin Face Mask

This mask is perfect for acne-prone skin because it contains bananas, which act as an astringent to balance oils in the skin, bicarbonate soda (baking soda), which pulls out oil and dirt from the pores, and turmeric, which reduces inflammation and has anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties.

To make this cruelty-free face mask, mash 1 ripe banana and mix it with 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate soda and 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric. Apply the mask to your clean, damp skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with cool water and pat your face dry. Finish with your favorite oil-free or gel moisturizer.

flaxseed vegan face mask recipe

All Skin Types Face Mask

This mask is perfect for all skin types because flaxseeds are a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids. Flaxseeds also help to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells.

To make this mask, grind 1 teaspoon of flaxseeds into a powder. Mix the powder with 3 teaspoons of water and let it sit for 15 minutes, or until it has a gooey, paste-like consistency. Apply the mask to your clean, damp skin and leave it on for 7-10 minutes, or until it is completely dry. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat your face dry.

I hope you enjoy these DIY vegan face mask recipes! Be sure to share your favorite mask ideas in the comments below.
