Too Faced Fall Collection 2012

in Makeup on 06/25/12

Too Faced Swatches

Arm on the left: Naughty Nude, In the Buff, Spice Spice Baby, Honey Bear, I Want Candy, Marshmallow Bunny
Arm on the right: Razzle Dazzle Rose, Cinnamon Kiss, Divine Wine, Stiletto Red, Fuchsia Shock

For those of you who aren’t familiar, Too Faced is a cruelty free, bunny-friendly brand. In fact, the owners love bunnies so much, they put bunnies on the packaging! I got to sample several products from their Fall 2012 line, which is all about bringing color and “sexy” back!

The La Creme Color Drenched Lip Creme lipsticks come in 16 different shades (11 pictured above) in spices/neutrals, pinks, reds and wines. The colors are bold, but sheer enough that anyone can wear them. My faves are the nude/neutral shades for everyday and the Marshmallow Bunny pink with the Perfect Pink lip pencil (pictured above). Please note that they are not all vegan – check the ingredient list for each shade. These new lipsticks are also good for your lips – they are made with lotus flower extract and peptides to soothe, condition and protect.

Eyeliner Swatches (top to bottom): Perfect Navy, Perfect Moss, Perfect Espresso
Lipliner Swatches (top to bottom): Perfect Red, Perfect Pink, Perfect Nude, Perfect Spice

The Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliners are perfect dupes for Urban Decay’s eyeliners. They glide on SO easily and once they set, they are waterproof. You have a few seconds to smoke out the line with the blender sponge on the opposite end, and then it sets to last all day.

The Perfect Lips lip pencils are also very long-lasting. You can actually wear these alone – or under lipstick. They come in 4 shades: nude, spice, pink and red.

Too Faced Better Than False Lashes mascara

The Better Than False Lashes is a very unique product. It’s basically an alternative to falsies. You coat your eyelashes with the mascara base/topcoat, apply the nylon fibers (which looks a lot like dryer lint), and then apply another coat of the mascara. The fibers give you added length and volume that you can’t get from mascara alone. The trick is not to wiggle the brush when you put it on – just pull the brush through the lashes. Then, you can go back and brush out any clumps with the mascara wand (or a dry spoolie). Also – don’t use this on top and bottom lashes at the same time – it will just make them stick together when you blink. This is a fun product – definitely more for going out – not everyday. It gives you incredible length and volume without the worry of false lashes falling off while you’re out and about!

Too Faced Lash Injection mascara

The Lash Injection mascara is a product that Too Faced has just brought back to the market. This tubing mascara coats your lashes with elastic polymers that come off in little “tubes” – with just warm water and soap or eye makeup remover. The beauty of this tubing mascara is that it doesn’t smudge or flake and it’s extremely waterproof. It’s also got a dose of Vitamin E to moisturize your lashes.

Too Faced 3 Way eyeliner review

Another really unique product is the 3 Way Lash Lining Tool. This is a liquid liner in a pen with three tiny points. You can use this to “tight line” (getting as close to the lash line as possible) and you can use it to draw little dots in your lash line – between the lashes. Like a calligraphy pen, you can get a thin line and then twist at the end for a thicker cat eye.

Which Too Faced products have you tried? Any good Urban Decay dupes? Let me know in the comments below!

Wow, I would definitely get me some Better Than False Lashes mascara! I am sick and tired of false lashes. I hate the glue! Thanks for this!

I would love to find a great dupe for Urban Decay’s cream to powder foundation, preferably one that is vegan, all-natural, and a little less expensive. If anyone knows of one, please share!

I love Too Faced but I don’t think they are cruelty free anymore. They are owned by Estee Lauder.

I am a big fan of Too Faced eyeliners for everyday use — but as a surfer, I have to tell you that they’re definitely not waterproof.
Sure, if you wear them just around town, they’re less likely to smudge than others, but if you wear them surfing for 2 hours, there’s not going to be a trace of eyeliner left when you get outta the water.
They might be “water resistant,” in that you might be able to wear them to the beach and and splash around a bit in ankle-high water, but waterproof? No way. They are great for everyday use, though — no raccoon eyes at the end of the day.
Sadly, my quest continues for an eyeliner that actually stays on through an entire surf session.

I will definitely try the lipliners. I love the Better Than False: put it more on the tips and get near drag queen length!

That 3 way-liner looks interesting. I wanna try it when it comes out.

I’ve had my eye on the “Better Than False Lashes” system, but I have sensitive eyes and am afraid the fibers might irritate my eyes. I looking forward to reading any reviews on this.

I love Too faced. I adore how involved the owner is in his brand. I’ve been wanting to check oh the lipsticks, are they listed in an order? Which is Divine Wine? Looks like a great collection.

Ah I had heard somewhere that Too Faced wasn’t cruelty-free anymore, I’m so glad for the reassurance they still are! One of my first makeup purchases was one of their Quickie Chronicles palettes years ago… to this day, they’re still among just a handful of eyeshadows I’ve managed to totally use up!

@ ariana Wow, I’m kinda disappointed. I was really hoping they’d be waterproof as they were described in the post. It’s not that I’m in the water so much, like you are, but everything sounded so great. I use eyeliner every day. It’s still good they’re water resistant though! Thanks for sharing!

Yes! And as of right now, they have no plans to venture into the Chinese market.
