I’ve never been to Coachella, but from what I understand there will be plenty of your running around with hangovers after this weekend (or maybe you already had yours last weekend)!
Here are some products to prevent hangovers and help you get through those party weekends.
Mercy Hangover Drink
The ingredient list is pretty impressive – in addition to the usual B Vitamins, it has, and proclaims to be the only one to have, B1 – 5,000% of your daily requirement of B1 actually. It also has Vitamin C, L-Carnitine, Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid, Chamomile, Milk Thistle, N-Acetyl Cysteine and Potassium. The ingredients replenish nutrients and help your body filter hangover-making toxins such as acetaldehyde. Each can has 60 calories and 16 grams of sugar (not too bad – a can of Coke has around 40). The Mercy rep promised me there are no animal ingredients, but please double-check this if you’re vegan. Oh – and there’s no caffeine (which would just add to the dehydration). Read my full Mercy review here.
My Body Shots Electro Nyte
Electro Nyte is a quick and healthy shot loaded with electrolytes, vitamins and minerals, which helps your body stay hydrated and healthy during the consumption of alcohol. When you consume alcohol, your body loses essential nutrients at an accelerated pace. Drink a shot of Electro Nyte before, during and after alcohol consumption to quickly restore those lost nutrients. You can even mix it with your favorite cocktail to help you feel better the next day.
Zaca Hangover Patch
You guys know how much I love beauty products and supplements, right? Well, the Zaca Hangover Patch is kind of both. It’s a supplement that you wear on your skin (like the birth control or nicotine patch) and it keeps you from looking and feeling like crap the day after some heavy partying (or in my case ANY partying). Read my Zaca review here.
Ola Loa Vitamin Packs
Cruelty-free brand, Ola Loa, makes several versions of powdered, effervescent multi-vitamins and supplements that you mix with water or another beverage. Try Sport (Mango-tangerine, Mixed berry and Lemon lime) to rehydrate and recharge after a night (or several nights) of drinking. Read my Ola Loa review here.
Of course, the best way to avoid a hangover is not to drink! But, we all know you’re not going to do that, so try these products, drink lots of water (before, during and after), take a B Vitamin Complex (before and after), eat something while you’re drinking, and then sleep it off the next day! And don’t drink and drive kids!
(PS – I’m not a doctor (surprise!) – so don’t be a weirdo and try to sue me if these products don’t work for you.)
