Foundation for Dry Winter Skin

in Dry Skin, Makeup, Skin, Vegan on 12/13/11

Glam Natural Hydrating FoundationEven if you normally have normal or combination skin, you might find that your skin gets dry and flaky in the Winter. If you’re looking for a cruelty free, vegan foundation that gives great, natural looking coverage and moisturizes at the same time, look no further than GlamNatural Hydrating Foundation.

The food-grade dimethicone mixed with shea butter, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, sunflower oil and a healthy does of pigment, give this foundation a beautiful coverage that I’ve never seen before. It’s like Photoshop for your face! Unfortunately, my breaky-outy, teenage skin (I’m 31) did not appreciate the extra moisture. It was a bit too heavy for me. If you have dry or mature skin, I really think you should give this a try. If they come out with an oily skin version, I’ll be the first in line!

Note: You only need a pea-sized amount. The trick is to rub it between your fingers a bit before applying. The color may look dark in the tube, but it blends out perfectly.

More about the 6 shades (I’m very fair with golden undertones and I used Ivory 2.):

Ivory 1
Always burns / Never tans. Light eyes. Light blonde, brown or red hair. Fair complexion.

Ivory 2
Usually burns/Sometimes tans. Light to medium eye color. Medium blonde, red, brown hair. Fair complexion.

Beige 1
Sometimes burns/ Usually tans. Light to dark eyes. Medium to dark blonde, brown, or red hair. Best for skin with beige to olive undertones.

Beige 2
Rarely burns/ Tans easily. Medium to dark eyes. Dark brown, red, or black hair. Works beautifully on olive to bronzed skin.

Bronze 1
Rarely burns/ Always tans. Light or dark eyes. Brown or black hair. Best for medium to dark bronzed skin.

Bronze 2
Never burns. Dark brown eyes. Dark brown or black hair. Beautiful coverage for dark complexions.

My favorite foundation ever. Great coverage and keeps you moisturized all day. I should have known you covered this long before I discovered it! 😉
