We’ve all had rough nights that may or may not have involved the following: adult beverages, uncomfortable heels, yelling over loud music, eating crappy food and staying up until the crack of dawn.
I myself, have never stooped to such shenanigans, but I’ve heard about others who do. Okay, who am I kidding – I’m hungover right now. At least none of my crazy nights have involved a tiger or Mike Tyson. Anyway, here’s how you can deal with the morning after Post-Party Syndrome (PPS for short).
Dehydration and Low Blood Sugar
First things first. Drink as much water as you can. It’s better to sip slowly over a long period of time than to gulp it down like you did with those Patron shots last night. Most of the pain of a hangover is due to dehydration. I would avoid coffee and large doses of caffeine. But, if you’re like me and you know you’ll get a caffeine withdrawal headache, then go ahead and drink some green tea or a soda, but make sure you have food in your stomach to avoid getting nauseous.
Second, pop some B vitamins – a complete B-complex is good. That will help replace the B vitamins you lost from all the sweaty dancing and drinking.
Third, get yourself some hash browns. Or pancakes. Or whatever makes you feel better and goes easy on your tummy. (If you’re still a bit tipsy or out of it – don’t drive – order in.)
Of course, everyone has their own “I swear by it and my grandma swears by it” hangover cure. Click here for some more good hangover cures.
Dry Skin
Time for some TLC for your body. Your skin is most likely dehydrated, so try a deep conditioning facial oil like Patyka Huile Absolue Organic Serum.
Patyka’s serum has my favorite facial oil, rose hip seed oil, along with olive oil, vitamin E and other oils that will nourish your skin without making it break out. You can also use it on your hair and nails.
Puffy Eyes
Try Skin 2 Skin Anti-Aging Revitalizing Eye Gel. It’s a cooling gel that reduces puffiness and gives your delicate eye area some much needed antioxidants. It has so many good-for-you ingredients, that I can’t list them all. Here are a few: arnica, white tea, green tea, comfrey leaf, rose hip seed, cucumber fruit, aloe, noni juice and more.
Evil Stepsister Feet
If you crammed your feet into some too-small Louboutins that you borrowed from your sister, and then proceeded to dance all night, and then walk several blocks back to your car (at a parking lot you paid 20 bucks to park in), then you know what “evil stepsister feet” are.
I am one of those people who can often be seen hobbling home after a night out. I have found a great way to repair my poor tootsies. Shea Terra’s Certified Organic Shea Butter. This 100% shea butter stuff is great. It’s got the consistency of cupcake frosting until you rub it together in your hands – then it turns into an oil. Rub it on your feet before you go to bed, and you’ll wake up with much happier feet and fewer blisters.
Disclosure – Oh, by the way, I’m not a doctor. So, if you’re really sick, get yourself to the emergency room.

This was great, and a ton of stuff that people who do drink on a regular basis should really be aware of. Thanks!

Very nice dear. Awareness is what that is needed the most these days about binge drinking because alcohol have become a bleeding ulcer for our community. We must halt this to affect our loved ones.
