Thursdays with Cheeky Rox: Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy CollectionMatte lips have been all the rage for the last few years but I have a feeling glosses are coming back better than ever! Cruelty free beauty brand, Too Faced Cosmetics recently released a brand new set of glosses called Lip Injection Glossy. As the name would suggest, these trendy lippies are supposed to plump up your lips and leave them with a glossy finish. Too Faced has always had a few lip-plumping products in their range, but this new collection is bigger and better than ever before.
The Lip Injection Glossy collection contains six gorgeous shades that range from neutrals to brights. Personally I’m more of a nude gloss kind-of-girl so those three neutral shades have got my name written all over them! I love that there’s some variety in the collection though – whether you’re into nudes or colorful glosses, you’ll find a color you love.
I’m really impressed by the formula of these lip glosses. They give a sheer tint of color to the lips – nothing too overbearing. I like that I can still see my natural lip color underneath the product. It’s so perfect for everyday makeup. The glosses are quite long wearing as well! The other day, I wore the shade “Milkshake” (which happens to be my fave!) and was so excited that it was still on my lips after several hours! Long-wearing lip glosses are hard to come by, so that’s super nice to see!
When I first apply the gloss, I do get a tingling sensation on my lips. That tingling is a result of the plumping effect that the glosses give. I wouldn’t say that it’s painful… but it’s definitely there! Personally I’m able to withstand the tingling – it subsided after about five minutes or so and left my lips with a bit of extra juiciness I don’t regularly have. No lip product is going to plump you up four lip sizes or anything like that, but I can say the Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy formula gives my lips a subtle plumpness that I love.
