How I Style My Curls in 15 Minutes or Less with the SRI Salon Dry Pro hairdryer
I refuse to spend a lot of time on my hair. Unless I’m going to a big event, I just won’t do it. Because I won’t spend hours on my hair, that means I need to have the best products that will get me out the door, looking good, QUICKLY!
My hairstylist knows I’m low-maintenance when it comes to hair, so she cuts it in a way that is easy for me to style without curling irons or flat irons. I am lucky to be able to wear my hair curly, wavy or straight (never stick-straight though). Most of the time it’s curly or wavy. I have a very easy technique for this (you’re never going to get complicated hair routines from me)!
I have fine hair, so first I wash and condition with products that will minimize frizz without weighing my hair down. I have been loving reNeu shampoo and conditioner from cruelty free and vegan hair brand, NEUMA. There are no unnecessary additives and no artificial fragrance, which is perfect for me.
After washing, I gently towel dry. I try to squeeze more than rub to avoid roughing up the hair cuticle. Sometimes, I will spritz a little leave-in conditioner, depending on how damaged my hair feels.
Now, this is the important part. I DO NOT comb through my hair from roots to ends. I only comb the crown of the head with my Olivia Garden Finger Brush. I don’t want to straighten my curls before I curl them again!
After that, I scrunch with hair gel. Another important note here – if my hair is quite damp, there will be fewer curls, which I think looks nicer. I’ll get bigger curls, which I can pull apart after my hair dries, so the wave pattern will be consistent. It just looks more “done” to me. My hair is actually drier in these pics than it would normally be, but that’s because shooting photos takes a lot of time!
Now obviously, if your hair doesn’t have any natural wave in it, you’re going to need a curling iron or another hot tool to get those curls! If you have some natural wave, as I do, you can use the gel combined with a hairdryer with a diffuser attachment.
The diffuser attachment is the key to getting those curls. But the blowdryer is also very important. I use the low-EMF SRI Salon Dry Pro because it dries my hair quickly and eliminates frizz. The far-infrared light goes deep into the hair cortex, which means I can use less heat on the outer cuticle, and therefore less frizz and less damage. I’ve tried a lot of hair dryers and honestly, I don’t think this is a gimmick – I really think the infrared light makes a difference in how my hair turns out.
The SRI Salon Dry Pro also emits negative ions, which helps to tame frizz and static by attracting moisture from the air. Isn’t science great? It has a salon-quality motor that monitors the temperature. It stays consistent, which prevents heat damage. The Dry Pro comes with the diffuser attachment I mentioned, as well as a comb and concentrator attachment if you want to style your hair a different way.
I’m lucky in that my hair dries pretty quickly no matter what type of dryer I use, but I know some curly girls and guys spend a lot more time with their hairdryers! The Dry Pro does seem fast (and is advertised as being fast) but that is not something I’ve struggled with, so I’ll have to let those with thicker hair tell me if it’s true!
Save some cash! If you want to try the SRI Salon Dry Pro hairdryer, you can use my Dry Pro coupon code DRYPROBUNNY to get 30% off (expires March 6th)!
So basically my hair is done after towel drying, scrunching and blow-drying with the diffuser attachment. This may be a long post, but I swear it’s super quick and super easy!
Oh, and one last trick – I will usually add a bit of shine to tame any additional flyaways. I like NEUMA Argan Oil Treatment and Aveda Smoothing Fluid (which seems to have been discontinued). Here’s what the back of my hair looks like when I’m done.
Do you have any quick and easy hair tips? Anything that helps you get your hair done fast? I’d love to hear them. Let me know in the comments below!

This looks great! I really need a good diffuser– otherwise my curls go crazy and the frizz and fly-aways are out of control!

You have beautiful hair. I don’t have that wave or I’d use a diffuser. I had a permanent in another life (lol) and couldn’t have been without a diffuser.

I can’t believe you can get those curls without a curling iron! I can coax a wave out of my hair with the help of a few products but not actual curls. You might try Seven Diamond to replace the Aveda for smoothing and taming frizz–it works great and you only need a teeny tiny amount.

Oh cool – thanks for the tip! Yeah, my hair looks terrible when it’s neither straight nor curly, so I prefer to do the curls!

Oh, yes, I had some terrible poodle perms back in the day!!

I just got a diffuser for the first time just last week!! I was so excited to try it and it change my entire wave game! 🙂

Your hair looks stunning! I love your loose curls. Since I don’t have any curls, I have never used a diffuser. Because my hair is so coarse and frizzy, a flat iron is my best friend. But I’m jealous of your look!

I’ve never used a diffuser! I have really straight hair, but lately have been obsessed with my deep waver!
