While I’m the kind of girl who spends 75% of her time in Converse, Vans, and the like, when I have the time on the weekends, I do enjoy taking the time to make myself look more “woman” than “girl” with the help of mascara, a vintage dress, and a nice pair of heels. It is nice to experience the world from a different height as well. Generally, however, after nearly 30 minutes of standing upright on a concrete floor in an East Los Angeles club, I wish that I instead had opted for my typical, flat All-Pink Adidas. Brightly colored, sassy heels excite me, but what these shoes typically do to my feet does not.
Thankfully, Foot Petals has a wide line of fabulous creations whose goal is to ease such troubles. Foot Petals pads can be inserted into various shoes–from the highest, strappiest heel to a basic flat–and the best part of their products are that the inserts perform their job as claimed.
I was dumped on New Year’s Eve afternoon by a charming fellow, so as a reward to myself, I purchased a pair of tall, vibrant red heels for that evening’s festivities. These shoes are mostly closed with an open toe; however, the heel adds roughly four inches or so to my height, so I knew the ball of my foot would be taxed as the night progressed. With the help of Foot Petals’ Tip Toes pads, though, my feet did not start to go numb nor did I feel the usual need to cajole my friends into finding a nearby barstool upon which I could sit or lean to relieve some of the pressure.
Furthermore, the pads are not a one-time, disposable product. I have worn the shoes since, and the adhesive has stayed in place and the pad has stayed puffy enough to provide continued support. (I received free samples of a similarly-shaped but far less padded product from a major department store after purchasing wicked-high heels from them; however, those “pads” unfortunately served more of a decorative purpose. I mean it when I say that Foot Petals work.)
Foot Petals can be purchased online from footpetals.com or can be found in most major department stores’ shoe departments.
