John Russo is one of the top celebrity & fashion photographers in the world. His work has graced covers of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, GQ & Esquire. He has photographed campaigns for Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana and Bombardier. John has shot Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio & Julianne Moore to name a few.
His foray into beauty is with a cruelty free men’s fragrance and women’s fragrance – both called Photograph by John Russo.
Photograph for Women is described as: “an intoxicating green, watery, fruity, white floral type with top notes of freesia, melon, peach, grapefruit, and lemon, middle notes are comprised of muguet, rose, lavender, and gardenia notes, and the fragrance has a musky, woody, ambery, base note quality.”
I’m very picky about my scents, and I like this one a lot. To me it smells like a high end perfume – no hint of “fake ingredients”. I can smell the fresh, floral and watery notes. My boyfriend is more of a fan of the girly, sweet, floral scents. I usually gravitate toward fresh, clean scents or earthy scents. This is a good combination that we both agree on!
The packaging is simple and modern – very clean, much like the fragrance itself.
John Russo is also coming out with a cruelty free nail polish line! It’s still in development, but coming soon.

Hooray! I know there’s not a lot of cruelty-free perfumes out there, so this is good news. I’ll have to give this one a sniff. It sounds like it might work me.
