Perfecting Skin with Argan Oil
Being a beauty blogger, I get exposed to a lot of new products that are hitting the market, but it’s the BEST when you come across a new “holy grail” product. Like when you try something new that you didn’t even realize you needed, and now make sure that it’s available at all times. You guys. Say hello to Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm.
This two-in-one product does double the duty of your other products by working as an anti-aging “finisher” and a makeup primer. Think of it as a skin perfector that locks makeup in place while improving it at the same time. Say what? Yep. It does all of that. Hydration levels increase and skin feels smoother making the perfect canvas to put your makeup on with. All done with the help of wondrous Argan oil that improves skin over time with continued usage.
Just a dime size amount of this is all you need for a full face application. I put this on after my moisturizer with SPF has absorbed in and allow it to “set” for a minute or two before moving to the next step. It was clear to me after the first time trying it that it made my skin feel almost like velvet and I was going to love this regardless if it helped makeup stay in place or not. I think it’s important to note that really a little goes a long way. I often use less than a dime size amount and use it only in the areas I think need help the most, or where makeup would usually wear down quickly.
So did it hold makeup in place? Let’s just say it held up after a full day at the beach in yucky, rainy weather watching an air show. It also kept my makeup in place after an afternoon snooze with my baby girl and my face slightly smashed into a pillow. I was able to wake up, walk out and only fix my hair after that nap. It was incredible!
