Cruelty Free Beauty Delivered To Your Door
Boy, the holidays just creeped up on us and Bam! Before you know it, it’s all done and here we are in a new year making new resolutions and looking forward to the future. I’ve got my first baby on the way and due in February so there is a lot of excitement in the air lately, and since becoming pregnant I’ve take an extra careful look at any beauty products that I’ve been using. One way I’ve been introduced to a lot of great, healthy cruelty-free, vegan brands is through the beauty subscription box, Laritzy! In the past 6 months I’ve gotten to try out a variety of makeup, skincare, and nail items and found that I absolutely loved most of the picks!
For those of you not familiar with Laritzy, it’s a monthly beauty box that for around $25 per month you can gift yourself 4-5 full or luxury sized cruelty-free, vegan products to play with. They recently came out with the “LaMini” Box which has 2-3 full or luxury sized items in case you want to keep it under $15 per month. Both are in the affordable category for me, and make great gifts for your BFFs!
Today, I get to share with you what I received in my December box. I know. I’m a bit late! Sorry! But it will give you a great idea if you want to look into subscribing for the February box!
The Konjac Sponge Co. Original Puff Sponge – retail price $12
If you haven’t tried using a konjac sponge then you are missing out on a fantastic way to GENTLY cleanse and exfoliate your skin all in one step. Made with vegetable fibers, this white, hard sponge transforms into a soft, sensitive skin safe cleansing tool that can be used with or without cleanser. I always need cleanser for my slightly acne prone, makeup-wearing skin and just squeeze it dry when I’m done. The sponge is delicate so no twisting, just press hard between the palms of your hands and leave it to air dry for it to last long (around 2-3 months)
Studio Aroma Cuticle Oil – retail price $12
Do you know anyone who DOESN’T need cuticle oil? Because I feel like I need hand cream and cuticle oil, like ALWAYS. Studio Aroma specializes in aromatherapy and hand-crafted body care products and should definitely be followed on Instagram for product updates! I’m loving this easy to use clicker pen because using them can sometimes get a bit messy and can be thrown into a makeup bag for your purse without the worry of a little glass bottle cracking when you toss your purse around. It has a bit of a lemony scent to me, nothing crazy, but I do notice it. And the main ingredient is jojoba oil which I LOVE using all over for both my husband and my own’s dry skincare issues.
Bodisafe Night Cream – retail prize for full sized item $25
Soon to be released, this Bodisafe night cream is truly made for dry, winterized skin. Formulated with shea butter and essential oils to deeply hydrate overnight and appears thick in the jar. Just a little dab went a long way when I tested it on my hands and could see this being more suitable during a manicure than on my face. This is a newly emerging brand that will have a variety of skincare and makeup items so I plan to follow them on Instagram to see whats to come!
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in “Boy Tears” – retail price $15
I had lusted over this brand for quite sometime following their sometimes hilarious instagram feed and swooning over the pretty polishes in their collection. “Boy Tears” is one seriously gorgeous glitter bomb for the nails. Think New Year’s Eve. Think date night. Think disco ball fun. This multi-color glitter polish is best layered over another color for biggest impact, but I’m sure would look just as snazzy on a bare nail. If you love a good nail polish, do not waste anytime, check them out. I love them! P.S My swatch is shown layered over Lauren B “Silver lake Speakeasy”
GlamNatural Mascara and Creme Blush – retail price $28 with bonus blush sample
I learned about GlamNatural through Laritzy previously and really liked their finishing powder (and still use it when I go out). Although I’m usually a pitch black mascara user, I gave the “braun” a chance and found that it did still accentuate the lashes for a natural daytime look. I like a good stiff brush which this mascara has and it doesn’t get all crazy goopy which I feel just makes you waste product. I’ll keep this in the rotation as I wear mascara daily but will be giving away the cream blush because I am not good at applying it and fear looking like a clown. Someone more talented can give it a shot! P.S the mascara is also gluten-free for those who need GF makeup!
MOTD Cosmetics Mr.Handyman Large Shader Brush – retail price $12
Who constantly needs new makeup brushes, raise your hand? I would have to include myself in this group. As I explore more eyeshadows I find myself needing more brushes so I can really blend out, smoke out, or line the eyes. The Mr. Handman brush is on the bigger side for eyeshadow brushes but works great for a final blend out brush for me. It also works great for highlighting the brow bone area with a light reflecting color of my choice. The brush is super soft while holding its shape well, and hasn’t shed or fallen apart.
Overall this was a great box and the only item I didn’t see myself using was the freebie cream blush sample which really was just an added bonus anyways. P.S this box also included a coupon code for you to pass onto friends in case they was to try and save a few bucks also! Not to mention that I see that the LaMini is on sale on the website so if you still want to try but are a bit hesitant to spend the full amount, try the mini!
To find out more about Laritzy, you can visit their website to get details on how their subscription service works, but they also post lots of updates on their Facebook and Instagram!
