Vegan Beauty Subscription Box
Hi Bunnies! I’m back with the latest review of Laritzy’s Cruelty Free Beauty Box for January 2016. As usual, I’m always excited to try what’s in the box because we get sneak peeks on Instagram that have me looking forward to the pink and white cardboard box arriving on my doorstep. For those who aren’t familiar with Laritzy, it’s a cruelty free, vegan subscription service that allows you to sample either full sized or luxury sized items for a decent fee. They now have two different sized boxes depending on your budget, but today we will take a look at the full sized box that gives you anywhere from 4-5 items, the smaller box gives you 2-3.
ZOE ORGANICS – CREAM 2OZ (retail value $18.00)
I was looking forward to this month’s box because there were two items I’ve had my eye prior to even seeing the sneak peeks. Being that I am a whopping 9 months plus pregnant, I’ve really be interested in the brand ZOE Organics because it’s safe for both mama and baby and with its superb list of raw, organic ingredients. With a growing belly, I have become a daily user of body oils and thick creams to use pretty much all over from the neck down. I found this non-scented cream to leave my skin feeling soft and moisturized quite nicely. It’s formulated for dry or eczematic skin but works great for skin being stretched to the max. I also like to put a little bit on my feet before I put some socks on so it really sinks in and moisturizes those rough spots while I relax on the couch. A little goes a long way so while the jar may appear small it WILL last you quite some time. Love that this brand is available at my favorite store (Target), and I’d love to get some of their baby products once my baby girl arrives, like the baby bath tea and baby oil.
OTAVEA – ALL NATURAL BODY SCRUB (luxury sample size)
I’ve actually sampled this brand before but I can’t remember where. It was the strawberry scrub that had actual bits and chunks of strawberry and smelled so good when you opened the jar. Today I have a new scent, lemon, that smells equally as good. This sugar scrub is great to use before shaving your legs by polishing away dead skin, and leaving skin moisturized with the special blend of cold-pressed oils the product is made with. I know each of their scrubs are formulated with a specific action in mind (cellulite, even skin tone, etc) but lemon is new and not listed on the site at the time I did this review. I suspect more info will roll out on their social media soon!
MAI COUTURE – ST BARTS HIGHLIGHTING PAPER (retail value $28)
I’ve stalked the Mai Couture Instagram account because I find their makeup products so intriguing. Bronzing and highlighting and blush products on easy to use blotting papers? How cool is that!? While I hoped for the bronzing sheets since I’m more of a bronzer kinda gal, I was more than happy to play around with the highlighting paper I received in the color “St. Barts” which is a peachy pink. The other color available is “crystal cove” which is more of a light white-pink shimmer. With these papers you don’t need to worry about going overboard with the highlighter, and you can use just half of a single sheet for all the high points on your face like brow bones, cheeks, bridge of nose, or even your collar bone and decolletage. I love how softly they applied and how they remain mess-free. This line has beautiful packaging and works well. A win-win in my book!
GLAM NATURAL – LIP CREAM (retail value $20)
Glam Natural is sort of a staple in Laritzy boxes, if you subscribe long enough you’ll have a nice assortment of their products to do a full face. This time around I got the lip cream which initially didn’t look like a color I would like in the tube (Love affair – lilac plum) but once I actually tried it I loved it. The color looks like it would be dark but it ends up being a your lips but better color once its on. It also applies rather nicely and looks like it might be matte or drying but it isn’t at all with its blend of shea butter, jojoba and grape seed oil. If I had to sample a second color I’d definitely pick prom dress (rose color) or poco loco (warm coral).
Overall I am glad I can use all the products in this box with the Zoe Organics Cream being my number one fave out of all them. Its a thick but fluffy cream that I feel has many uses during and after pregnancy and makes me want to buy their entire line.
To find out more about Laritzy and their awesome service I highly suggest following them on Instagram but should probably visit their website for specific details and signing up for the service.
