So now that we got the specifics of their program out of the way, lets dig into the Laritzy Cruelty Free Beauty Box for November 2015.
Jacq’s Organics Green Smoothie Scrub & Masque – 1 oz (retails for $17.50)
Were going to start off with my most FAVORITE product from this month’s box. I’m pregnant, so I’ve got skin issues about 99% of the time and constantly feel like I’m battling a breakout here or there. I tried out this mask after getting back from a trip in Hawaii and fell in love with its cooling effect from the spearmint oil. It smelled so good! The powder blend of organic sea kelp, activated bamboo charcoal, rhassoul and bentonite clay with ground organic almond meal mixes with water to exfoliate, soften, and soothe the skin all in one step. I think it’s great that it comes in a powder form so you never have to worry about it drying out or “going bad”. You can choose between two sizes (1 oz or 2oz jars), but I feel like the 1 oz size I received is going to last me for a while.
Palmetto Derma Collagen Booster & Restoration Serum – 1 fl. oz (retails for $48)
I’m a big fan of serums because I don’t like a heavy feel on the face. Serums are a great way to get good ingredients to the skin in a fast way, and this serum from Palmetto Derma is no different! I’m in my ’30s, so anything that fights the signs of aging is something I will pay attention to. This scent-free serum boosts collagen production with vitamin C while hyaluronic acid plumps the skin. The serum comes in an amber bottle with big label which is good in protecting the vitality of antioxidants within the serum, while the pump dispenses easily.
GlamNatural Finishing Powder – 0.14 oz (retails for $30)
I don’t use finishing powders often simply because I forget and really should toss it into my daily “go to” makeup bag. GlamNatural’s finishing powder goes on translucent and creates a velvety feel on a made up face. For those of us who get oily breakthrough no matter what foundation we wear, this is a great secret, lightweight step that will help give your makeup staying power. I like to use my biggest, softest, fluffiest brush (as recommended) to gently swirl a minimal amount over my T-zone, cheeks and chin – the areas which tend to show a bit of shine by late afternoon. I also love that the jar has a added inner “cover” to prevent excess spillage if the jar jumbles around in a makeup bag- that’s a huge bonus for myself because I’ve had jars of makeup like this before without that and it can become a total mess.
Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Pressed Cheek Powder – 1.8 g (retails for $14)
Ok guys. I hate when this happens but it even happens to the best of them. Unfortunately, I have pressed powder that came a bit unpressed in the shipping process. I ran out of time to try and repress it myself but there are definitely ways to salvage a broken pressed powder if you google it, however I figured I could still give this blush a shot with a gentle hand and a stipple brush. Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques pressed cheek powder comes in three gorgeous colors for warm, cool and neutral skin tones. After checking out their site, I think the color primrose would have been a better match for me, but the color I received “sweet sixteen” looked good as well. What I found interesting is the blend of ingredients in the pressed powder such as orange peel wax which has antimicrobial properties, allantoin to stimulate healthy tissue growth, and zinc for natural UVA/UVB protection. I wanted to add that if you ever receive a broken product, let Laritzy know and they will do their very best to fix the situation. I opted to fix it myself and then just ran out of time!
Do you see the value of this box you guys? All the products were full sized and come to a total value of $109.50! That is an absolute steal when you really add it all up, especially when it’s all products you can actually use! And don’t forget…Laritzy has teamed up with My Beauty Bunny to give you guys a discount on your first order! Save 10% by using code: BUNNY10 when checking out. Want to find out more about this awesome subscription service? Be sure to visit them on their website for specific details, but definitely stop by their Instagram or Facebook for sneak peeks of what future months’ boxes will hold!
