A Gentle Face Wash For Everyone

Even though I have skin that is considered mildly acneic, I have learned over the years that gentle facial cleansers are truly the way to go. In fact, when I try to go back to a typical “acne wash”, my face dries out immediately and looks bad. I knew that when I was sent LATHER Ultra Mild Face Wash I was in for a treat. The LATHER brand has a history of creating great products that are cruelty-free and nourish the skin for that radiant look. I was definitely intrigued to try it.

Because I’ve had a hardcore workout routine in preparation for my wedding, I have been needing to wash my face more often than usual. Instead of just two times a day, I had to amp it up to four times a day because I am hitting multiple sessions in a day and cannot dare let that oil and sweat sit on my skin for long periods of time. Most people don’t wash their face that often and when they do it certainly dries out the skin leaving it lackluster and tight feeling–so I had to be careful with my skincare choices in order to assure I wasn’t doing more harm than good.

The LATHER Ultra Mild Face Wash is well…just that. Ultra mild, but sudsing so you feel like you’re getting a good deep down clean. Instead of harsh sulfates, gentle surfactants like lauryl glucoside and Laureth-7 are used to clean and condition the skin without stripping it of its naturally needed oils. The formula also includes aloe vera which moisturizes the skin while chamomile and white tea extract calm the skin. I need cleansers with calming ingredients in them so current acne flare ups aren’t red and irritated! You don’t want to exacerbate inflammation or pimples with harsh cleansers because it will only make it worse! I dare you to test this out for yourself and see.

Just one pump of the cleanser does the trick and the clear gel liquid foams up quickly once you add water. There is a slight scent of lavender (also calming) that you smell while using but goes away after you rinse your face and pat it dry.

I enjoy including this cleanser in my routine because it truly did not irritate my skin in the slightest but got dirt, oil, and even makeup to wash away with ease. I sometimes get stress induced dermatitis on my face and it didn’t make those areas sting at all which definitely happens with harsher face washes.

You can find this cleanser on the LATHER website, but they also have store locations in Pasadena, CA, Scottsdale, AZ, Atlanta, GA, and SOON in Fairfax, VA if you want to stop in for personal recommendations. To find out more about the brand, you can follow them on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

I wonder if it would work for me? I avoid uses soaps and any kind of wash on my face because of how I react to them. I don’t think I’m the only person who has had bad reactions to all types of washes.

That should be “using soaps” 🙂
