Being a girl with curly hair in a world where straight and blond is seemingly considered the goal is HARD! I have spent hours bleaching, dying and straightening my hair to attempt to get it to look a certain way (what way I am still not sure of). Recently I went back to the dark side, a light brown, and have been attempting to repair the damage done over the years by allowing my hair to be its curly self.
Having the right products for curly hair is an absolute must when trying to get it to look good “as is”. A good conditioner, a styling cream and a mousse are key. I was thrilled to get to try products from the Leonor Greyl line because I heard that they are natural and smell divine! The line is also cruelty-free and family owned and operated for over 40 years.
I have been using the Leonor Greyl Nourishing and Styling Cream for dry hair and Volumizing Mousse now for several weeks and must say that I am hooked! The Styling Cream has a rich, creamy texture and smells like a sunny afternoon with hints of lemon and flowers! The Mousse smells equally as amazing and has a very light, foamy texture that is easy to work through wet or dry hair.
I prefer the styling cream on my hair after it is dry; my routine is to apply the mousse to my hair when it is wet and then run the cream through the ends when it is dry. The cream is also amazing on straight hair for shine. Neither of these products seemed heavy or left my hair feeling dry (the mousse is alcohol-free which I find is very important) and both leave hair touchable and soft. That is amazing to me since one of the main reasons I used to never leave my hair curly was that all of the mousses that I had been using prior to the Leonor Greyl line left my hair dry and crunchy.
I will definitely be purchasing both of these products again! I can already tell that my hair is healthier and breaking much less since I have been using both products and allowing it to air dry. Their shampoos and conditioners have very good reviews as well, so I may need to invest in those as well!

I will have to try these out! It’s so hard to find good cruelty-free products for curly/wavy hair that actually work. 🙂
