Let’s take a time out from makeup and beauty to remember something more important. A remembrance of those who gave their lives on September 11th, 2001. I remember exactly where I was on that day – driving to work. When I found out what happened, it took me a minute to digest the information before realizing the gravity of the situation. Then frantically calling my friends in New York, watching the news, seeing the panic, hearing the heartbreaking stories, and realizing how serious the situation was, I knew I would never forget this day.
Here’s to those Americans who lost their lives on what should have been a normal day at work, and to those who willingly risked their lives to help. Read more about the NYC 9/11 Memorial here. #PatriotDay #NeverForget

I’m sitting outside at my local Starbucks close to DFW airport. There is a memorial statue within my vision as I sit here. I’ve watched people come and go all morning to pay their respects. I’ll be heading over there myself before moving on with my day. Such a sad day that I’ll never forget either.
