Question of the Week: What’s your feeling on limited edition products?
I feel like almost everything is limited edition these days! There are so many releases and collaborations coming out that I can barely keep up with the reviews. I don’t mind it though – I love seeing the new releases as they come out. The only thing that would NOT work as limited edition would be a good foundation, concealer or something that I’ll use on a long term basis. If it’s a lipstick, highlighter or eyeshadow palette, and I absolutely loved it, I could buy a few and they’d last forever (until I found a new holy grail that is!).
Speaking of limited edition beauty products, this one is a potential impulse buy that supports a great cause. Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Outspoken is what UD calls a limited-edition “universal nude-pink shade with a metallized finish.” The weird thing is that this lipstick looks like a metallic brick red to me – not pink at all – especially on my yellow-toned skin. I think this is a pretty color, but not a color I’d normally wear. My fiancé, Gregg, seems to love it. I think he likes shiny, sparkly lipstick on me, and I usually don’t. The purple rose case is super pretty though, and if you’re down with this shade, you’ll want to keep this one in your bag to show it off.
The biggest thing? When you buy one, Urban Decay gives ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the purchase price to women’s empowerment nonprofits!
Like all Urban Decay Vice lipsticks, the formula has great color payoff – and if you know me, you know I prefer comfortable lipstick to those crazy drying long wear ones. The formula has aloe vera, jojoba, avocado, Illipe butter, and babassu oils to keep your lips hydrated. Vitamin C and E provide antioxidant action.
The Urban Decay Outspoken lipstick is $18 and you can find it at UrbanDecay.com, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, and some Macy’s stores.

It looks like a metallic brick red to me too, and I think that it is GORGEOUS on you!
Stacie Hamilton says
I have mixed feelings about limited edition products too. I hate that they usually cause a frenzy and then it’s hard to find them to know if you’ll even like it. At the same time, there are so many products out there that I don’t usually worry if I can get the LE or not. This lipstick is very pretty on you!

I absolutely adore that shade. I’m really tempted to pick it up, but I own two other of their metabolized finish lipsticks, and they look beautiful on, but they’re drying on my poor lips
CosmetopiaDigest.com says
Certainly looks metallic and red than pink! I’m not a fan of LE products, unless it’s a regularly available product in LE packaging. You certainly rock that colour!
MarciaF says
That shade is beautiful even though it’s not the right shade for me. I think it’s great that it’s for a cause
Cindy says
Definitely not a nude pink but a fab shade for a good cause!
Kathryne says
That shade looks so good on your lips
Lulle says
It’s very odd that they would describe this shade as a nude pink! But I think it’s a beautiful color, and a less common one too.
