Since my mom inadvertently stole my favorite Aqualillies for Tarte orange lipstick (don’t worry – I’ll get it back eventually), I went searching for a new orange lippie. I ended up at Naimie’s in Los Angeles. Holy cow. The mother of all beauty supply stores! I had seen their giant booth at The Makeup Show, but never been to the store. They don’t carry Tarte, but they do carry a lot of cruelty free makeup lines like Stila, Lime Crime, NARS, Too Faced, etc. They also have skincare, hair care – anything you could ever want (except Tarte – but I digress)…
So I ended up at the Lise Watier section because I had never tried it and Tyna of We Heart This recommended it. I spotted a bright orange shade called “Charlotte” and swooped in on it. It’s not as bright or matte as the Tarte lipstick, BUT it’s super moisturizing, and it just so happens I am having a major problem with painful lip peeling right now. (Probably because I was wearing too much waterproof makeup on my recent vacation to FL.) So, this is actually perfect.

That lippie is stunning on you. I’m dying to try out Lise Watier since Pink Sith went up to Canada. I wish I could play in person… why can’t we have a Naimies =(

Could you suggest a grocery/drug store brand that has a pretty orange/coral lipstick or gloss? I cannot find anything I am happy with. They are either too pale or looks like a clown. I have fairly pale skin and auburn brown hair. Thanks, Tracy

Tracy – Milani and NYX have some good ones. But, I would suggest going to ULTA or Sephora to try on colors, and spend a little more $$ on a color you love and one that lasts better than drugstore brands. Well worth it!
