I picked up my first pair of tweezers in 7th grade. They were the little tweezers out of cheap pocketknives, hah! Eventually I upgraded to a pair from the tiny beauty section at the grocery store.
And that is my tweezer story! Seriously. I’ve never had a pair of Tweezerman tweezers, never had my brows waxed, nothing. I like my cheap, dull, no-name brand pair. They don’t break the hairs, they don’t pinch my skin, and they’re practically child proof!
Alas, despite my attachment to my old trusty pair, I recently tried Slice’s Slanted Soft-Touch Tweezers designed by Michael Graves. These tweezers are sleek with a wide grip and finished with a soft-touch red finish. They’re also available in stainless steel, but I prefer the red. If they came out with pink or prints I’d be even more inclined to expand my collection. *hint*hint*nudge*nudge* Slice! Along with the slanted soft-touch tweezers, Michael Graves also designed a pencil sharpener, combo tip tweezers, and pointed tweezers.
These are the first pair of tweezers that I actually like. In fact, I’ve found myself reaching for them more than my old pair. The tip is just sharp enough to catch those troublesome hairs, but dull enough that it doesn’t snap the hair in half before you can pluck it (which is my ULTIMATE pet peeve). Just like every other product on this site, these tweezers are cruelty-free as well as being Leaping Bunny certified! Kudos Slice! You rock!
Honestly, they’re great quality and a great price. Cheaper than anything you’ll find at your nearest Sephora ($19.99 for Slice, $25 for brands at Sephora), and you don’t have to sacrifice designer quality. So, when my old cheap pair finally bites the dust and I’m forced to make a change (oh to be a Taurus…) I will be reaching for Slice’s Slanted Soft-Touch Tweezers designed by Michael Graves.
