Milani Jewel FX Nail Polish Review

I’ll admit it; I have a strong streak of 5-year-old in me. I enjoy playing with glitter and my dad says that I have ADOST, Attention Deficit – OH SHINY THING! So trying out these new Milani Jewel FX nail polishes was like second nature to me. Bonus? Milani products can be easily found (either online or at the local drugstore), are budget friendly, are cruelty free, and their nail polishes do not contain DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde. Yeah, get in my nail polish collection Milani polishes! So with that, here are some swatches and thoughts.

580 Fuchsia – I layered this over an already metallic fuchsia color. But Milani’s Fuchsia Jewel FX gave it a real kick! The formula does not lack in formula and I needed only one layer to get the desired effect. Gorgeous, where was this for Valentine’s Day?

581 Lavender – I layered Milani’s Lavender Jewel FX over a flat purple polish, and I have to say, this was my favorite combo! The color difference between the small and large pieces of glitter is just enough to be eye capturing without being obnoxious.

582 Teal – Milani’s Teal Jewel FX was layered over a metallic beach-blue. The teal polish is a mix of small blue glitter with green and silver larger pieces. I have to say, I’m not totally in love with my color match but believe it would insanely gorgeous over a green polish. Hm… Perhaps my next mani!

583 Hot Pink – Funny enough I layered Milani’s Hot Pink over another hot pink polish. This Jewel FX polish looked like confetti to me! There were no small pieces of glitter in this formula, but rather only large pieces of hot pink and silver glitter. Because this formula contained no small glitter, it took me two coats to get the desired effect.

Overall, I really like these polishes! They put me in a party mood and make me feel so fun! Shoot, I have Lavender on my toes right now!
