Milani’s Lip Intense Liquid Colors are what I’ll be “raving” about today (don’t worry, you’ll get the rave pun soon.)
I have all four of the lip intense colors—Red Extreme, Pink Rave (there it is), Fiery Coral, and Violet Addict. Let me tell you, these colors do not stray from their bold and exciting names. They are vibrant and eye-catching the instant you put them on.
Milani Lip Intense Lip Color Violet AddictI first tried the Violet Addict because it reminded me of the pantone color of the year, Radiant Orchid. It was a perfect match! My lips took to the gloss to create a perfect pinkish, purple shine.
The liquid lipsticks first apply very thick and too strong in color. However, after rubbing your lips together it turns into a nice and thin, smooth layer, without any stickiness. While wearing them, I never felt my lips drying out. In fact, they seem to have some hydrating qualities that made my lips feel soft and full throughout the day. I was hooked.
Wanting to try something even bolder, I applied the Fiery Coral. The title coral made me think there would be an orangish tint to the gloss, but that wasn’t the case. It was a soft pink color that severed as almost a nude lipstick with a slight pink tint. It wasn’t my definition of Fiery Coral, but it was gorgeous nonetheless. It especially looked great when I wore it with other sea colors like turquoise and other blue-green colors.
The Pink Rave was next. It looks to me that it’s a blend between the Violet Addict and Fiery Coral. It was a nice bright pink color. I really liked. It might even be my favorite of the four if I had to choose.
Finally, we have the Red Extreme. This is taking traditional red lipstick to the next level. The aggressive red combined with the gloss will make your lips look full and pouty. If you’re a bold and forward woman on a mission, this gloss is for you!
Now if you’re worried about the lasting length of these, rest at ease. They are all worn like lip stains. When the initial color wears off after about 3 hours, your lips are still under-stained the color that lasts roughly another 3 hours. So, a total of 6 hours of wear! I even ate a veggie burger and still had my lip tint. J Not too shabby, huh?
Oh, and lets not forget about the packaging. The cases are hard cases, my favorite! For some reason soft cases always turn out to be a disaster for me. Somehow the caps always fall off and they explode in my purse. Don’t ask—maybe it’s just me who’s the disaster. HAHA Either way, the hard cases are put on my love checklist. They also have gorgeous gold twistable tops, with the outer color matching the color of the lip color inside—a nice touch for easy grabbing on the run.
But do you want to know the best part? They are each less than $7! You get long lasting, non-sticky, gorgeous and bold lip colors on a small budget. With Spring in the air, love is in the air too—for Milani’s Lip Intense colors, that is.
