Milani is a great cruelty free drugstore choice. Their new Color Statement Lipstick is super creamy, very bright and very affordable ($5.49 each)! They go on with one swipe, but they’re a little thick, so I found it was easier to apply with a lip brush.
I’m a huge fan of orange lip shades. Orange-Gina is my favorite – a great, wearable orange shade. Sweet Nectar is a really fun, “hey check my ish out!” orange – definitely one to wear when you’re going out on the town.
The red shades all seem pretty similar to me. Ruby Valentine is the warmest, most orange-y shade, but it still looks a little too cool for me. I wish there was a more tomato red version. For those who can rock a blue-red, you’ll probably have great luck with all of these.

Hi Sarah – they are slightly heavy on the lips but not sticky. Here’s a store locator: https://www.milanicosmetics.com/locations.aspx
