Milani Cosmetics recently released Textured Creams nail polish. You either love or you hate the texture, but I thought it would be fun to do an easy, colorful tutorial with these polishes for you.
First, start by cleaning your nails and removing any oil from the nail. Then prep the nails with a base coat. I used Cult Nails Get It On Base coat.
Next, apply Milani Shady Gray to about 3/4 of the nail, leaving a strip down the left side of the nail blank.
Down the side of each nail, paint another shade of the Milani Textured Cremes. I chose to do a rainbow – one of every color, but you can choose to use the same color. I did Aqua Splash for my index, Purple Streak for my middle, Spoiled in Fuchsia for my ring and Yellow Mark for my pinky and thumb. If you feel like the edging looks odd, you can take a makeup sponge, dab a bit of Shady Grey on it, and dab that on the seam. I left mine alone though.
Finally, use a brush dipped in acetone to clean up your edges and around the nail bed. No need for a top coat!
Do you like textured polishes? Have you tried the Milani Texture Creams?

I’m liking some of the textured polishes I’ve seen being released recently, but these Milani ones aren’t one of them. To me, the texture of these just looks messy.

Love the texture, it looks great. Really liked how you paired the gray polish with the bright, rainbow colors. Very cool manicure!
