Jen Update!
So, last year I moved to Boston during the blizzards. Not exactly a good time to move to a new city. I quickly realized how much I missed LA (the weather, my friends, my boyfriend, the food, the nightlife, the traffic…okay not that). I am now in Boston as I type this, watching the movers carry my ever-dwindling worldly belongings back into the truck.
All the money lost on moving across the country twice notwithstanding, I’m happy I got to spend time with my sister and her husband, experience life in the snow and know that Los Angeles is the place for me (for the next 5-10 years at least)! My cats are not going to be happy about the plane ride home, but they will be happy once they adjust to their new castle (AKA my new apartment).
I’m ready for life to be semi-normal again – bring it on!

Hi Jen,
Love your post about Boston. I am a Bostonian as I have mentioned before and live in Australia. The climate is better here than Boston as we have sun all year around. It would be ideal if you could do a house exchange then you could have the best of both worlds. Your boyfriend must be pleased you are back.
As my brother said while saying good bye to me in January 2010 at Logan Airport "Come to Boston from May to October, not in winter. These are the best months to visit Boston" I developed a bad cough due to the cold. When I arrived back to the heat of the Brisbane summer the cough went away. Boston is one of my favorite cities and I plan to visit this summer. I am so excited. Hope you have settled back into the LA way of life.
Take care

Thanks Leoni! I was so amazed with how Boston in the Spring is like a different country! It was beautiful, warm and all the trees and plants were in bloom. Totally different experience!
