Makeup Designory Cake Eyeliner

I first learned about MUD (Make Up Designory) at The Makeup Show in LA a few years ago. MUD is a makeup school and they have a cruelty free line of pro-quality color cosmetics. I watched one of their trainers do a live makeup tutorial and I was very impressed. I immediately bought some MUD cream foundation and loved it – amazing coverage and it blends so easily.

Recently MUD sent me a sample of their Cake Eyeliner (black) and #100 Eyeliner Brush to review. The Cake Eyeliner is a long-lasting, water-activated liner known for its precision and versatility. You can create subtle or dramatic looks effortlessly with this professional-quality eyeliner. Try a super fine line for everyday wear or a thicker line or cat eye for more intensity.

To use, just wet your #100 Eyeliner Brush (or other thin brush) lightly in water, and then roll it into the eyeliner (like you would if you were using an eyeshadow as eyeliner). Go for a light touch to get a thin line or use more pressure for a thicker line. Once it sets, it has excellent staying power. If you’re like me and you have hooded lids, you may want to use an eye primer before applying. I pretty much have to do that with any makeup on my lashline or it ends up in my crease.

Makeup Designory also has some gorgeous, intense pressed eyeshadow colors – click here to check them out. They also have free workshops in NY and LA – you can see a list of events on their Facebook page.
