Upper Abdomen SculpSure Body Contouring Treatment at LaserXX – Review
Hey bunnies! Recently I told you about the SculpSure body contouring treatments I’ve been doing at LaserXX in preparation for my wedding (t-minus two months to go!). I had my second treatment today, and I wanted to give you an update.
The first time, I had my lower abdomen (AKA my lower belly roll – right above my belly button) treated. Today I had my upper abdomen (happy little roll number two) treated. I’ve lost 3 or 4 pounds since my first treatment (and it’s been about two weeks). I haven’t changed anything in terms of diet or exercise during that time. I have one hard nodule on my right side – if you press your fingers into my belly you can feel it, but you can’t see it or anything. The LaserXX team told me that was normal, and that it’s not permanent, and to keep drinking lots of water and massaging twice a day.
Sandra and the rest of the staff, and Dr. Berdjis, are so nice and made me feel so welcome. They put three brackets on me this time – two on the lower area of my upper midsection and one under that (right under my rib cage). The treatment seemed more painful this time, in this area. I’m not sure if it’s just a more sensitive part of my body or if it has to do with how much fat is in each area (pretty sure I have a lot in both places but hey…). I did have an energy drink in the morning (had to get up early to go to a Bite Beauty Lip Lab event, which I highly recommend by the way!), so I may have been dehydrated. I asked the doc to give me a break about half way through. Then he turned it down a bit for the remainder of the 25 minutes. He reminded me that I’m always in control and can tell him if I need it turned up or down (or paused) at any time. The doctor and his staff stayed with me the whole time to make sure I was okay.
Afterwards, they showed me some VERY impressive before and afters from previous clients. I was impressed with the results some patients saw after one treatment alone. It will take several weeks to see some results and about three months total for me to REALLY see results, so I will keep you updated on my progress as I go!
After the treatment, they gave me a Dexa Scan, which is the gold standard for measuring body fat, lean muscle and bone density. I had never had one of these done before, so it was interesting to see the results (and hopefully to see how they will change over time). My bone density is really good, but my fat to muscle ratios are not great. I’m going to keep working out and eating right, while I do these SculpSure body contouring treatments and I hope to see some changes in the near future!
If you want to try SculpSure body contouring, I highly recommend LaserXX. Pricing is about $400 for each bracket (or $1600 for all four). It’s not a cheap procedure, but it’s A LOT cheaper and safer than liposuction! LaserXX often runs specials – so make sure to follow them on Instagram and Facebook! Stop by and tell them Jen from My Beauty Bunny said hi!

Thank you! 🙂

This is such an interesting procedure. I read about things in magazines but never know what it’s like. The pain wouldn’t thrill me but the results would.
Cindy Ingalls says
Thanks for taking us along on your journey, it’s so interesting! I hope you’ll be thrilled with the results.
Kathryne says
The way I explain the “nodule” to my patients is : it’s like an unwelcomed guest that turned out to be nice. Those are fat cells that responded quick to the treatment. Just massage the area to help break down. Hydrate. It should be gone in a few weeks.
Sandy Weinstein says
they are a lot less expensive than in my area. by far!
Babi says
I would totally sign up to try this procedure!
CosmetopiaDigest.com says
Wow, that’s a very interesting procedure! I struggle with those pesky belly rolls, and it’s great to know there are ways of knocking them off.
Courtney B says
You are a brave soul! These kinds of treatments make me nervous just because I’m not big on surgery or anything remotely like it. I hope everything goes well and that you see the results you are looking for!
chiefbunny says
Thanks Courtney! Unlike surgery, there’s no anesthesia, down-time or any sutures or anything remotely invasive like that. I’ve had plastic surgery and the recovery is a long and painful process! It took me six months to a year to fully recover from my chin implant years ago! 🙂
Judy says
Oh man I would have loved doing this before my wedding, I like noninvasive treatments!
Krystal E says
Thank you so much for documenting this process! I always am curious as to these types of procedures. I really like that there’s no downtime afterwards and they stay with you the entire time to let you modify where needed. I can’t wait to see your final results!
Mai says
This is a super interesting treatment! I know I have to get in shape before my wedding later this year too!
Jennifer Sky Walker says
I hope the treatments work well, the new technology is amazing that it can work without surgery or recovery time.
chiefbunny says
Oh I didn’t know you were getting married this year – congrats!
Ehmkay Nails says
I’m not sure if this is something for me but it is interesting to see alternatives to surgery!
Polarbelle says
I’m so interested to follow your progress. I imagine the less fat cushion you have, the higher intensity it may feel….i.e. I wouldn’t feel a thing, lol. I just love your makeup here. I think you are stunning!! You will be the most beautiful bride.
chiefbunny says
Thanks girl! I may be confused but I think it hurts more when you have more fat, which I have plenty of! Don’t quote me on that – I may have it backwards…
Sweetpeas says
Hope it works for you, and that you are happy with the results!
Natoya says
You’re so amazingly brave. I’ve always wanted to try something like this but have been too scared. Can’t wait to see all your amazing results.
Nina Kasper says
I didn’t know they could get so much from a dexa scan! I have to have one done next week for checking my bone density, I have osteoporosis, so I may see if I can get more info too! As far as this treatment, it looks kinda weird but I am certainly intrigued! I can’t wait to see how your results go!
chiefbunny says
Oh no – my mother in law has osteoporosis and it’s just so awful to see her lose inches and become so fragile. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that.
