This may sound odd, but as a beauty blogger, I get too many products to review. It seems like everyone and their mother has a product, and they all want you to review it. I of course, only choose things that I think my readers will be interested in, and they have to be cruelty free. I know you guys are like “oh boo hoo!” right? Well, yeah – I would be too if I wasn’t experiencing it! 🙂
I have amazing writers that help me out, but it gets overwhelming. So, as a result, there are always products that I can’t use. I give them to my friends, family – even my chiropractor and hair stylist! But, the point of this is not to humble brag. If you think for a minute that blogging is easy, you have no idea. I’ve been doing this for 5 years, and it’s a second job. It’s exhausting at times. I do it because I love it and I want to be a resource for products that are not tested on animals – not because I’m making money. I get perks, sure, but money-wise, I make about enough to keep this site alive. I wish my landlord would accept beauty products! 😀
Anyway, the point of all this, is that I rarely run out of something, and when I do, it means I REALLY liked it. So much, so that when the next big thing came along, I kept using the old stuff! Here’s a list of a few things that I have run out of, and plan on buying more! (This is a big deal!)
LATHER Mangossteen & Green Tea Hand Lotion – a light berry scent, antioxidants, comes in a pump that I keep by my side while I work, and it’s the perfect consistency – not too thick or too light. Perfect. I have now run out and I miss it already. Also LATHER says that mangosteen is known as the “queen of the tropical fruits. I think I’m going to put that on my business cards.
Onsen Toner and Serum – I’ve been using these two products for abut 2 months now, and they are keeping my skin acne free! Even during hormonal and stressful times! They use a specially formulated water based on the mineral mix found in Japanese hot springs (known as “onsen”). The toner is non-drying, and the serum is perfect for my combination skin. If I need a little more moisture on my cheeks or under my eyes, I use their moisturizer.
Too Faced Brow Envy Kit – It comes with the perfect color for my brows, the perfect little brushes, tweezers, a highlighter and a setting wax. I haven’t completely used this one up yet, but it comes with me everywhere. I will definitely buy another one when this one runs out. The best palette for brows ever.
Dermalogica Clear Start Foaming Wash – The line is meant for teens, but my skin hasn’t gotten the memo that I’m an adult yet. This foaming acne wash is great because it’s NOT over-drying or too gentle. JUST RIGHT!
DermOrganic Hair Masque – I’m obsessed with this hair masque. My hair has been more on the dry side lately, but it’s very fine, so I don’t want to weigh it down. This vegan, argan oil based masque is perfect for my wavy, fine hair. I’ve run out and purchased this one many times. You can find it at ULTA or www.dermorganic.com.

I’m always amazed when I run out of products, too! 🙂 I think the last products I used up were a Philosophy shower gel and First Aid Beauty eye cream.

Anything from LUSH Cosmetics – especially if it is a limited edition item.

I’ve recently become “addicted” to the Andalou Naturals skin care line, particularly their serums.
In fact, I was reduced to using a cotton swab to try to scrape out the last remaining molecules in an almost-depleted bottle of their Tumeric + C serum.
I also love, love, love, love, LOVE their willow bark toner.
I also cannot continue to breathe without:
100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade body wash
Trish McEvoy Eye Definer (powder liner)
Aubrey Organics raspberry lip balm
Youngblood pressed rice powder
Hourglass Mineral Veil primer
So many wonderful products, only one face! 🙁

Annie, you just reminded me of yet another product I refuse to live without: LUSH Ultrabalm.
Fortunately, it comes in a rather gigantic tub.
