NARS Bento Box Set

in Makeup on 10/13/10

Sad update – June 2017 – NARS is no longer cruelty free – the company has decided to sell in China, a country that requires animal testing. Click here for details.

For those beauty lovers that have EVERYTHING…ladies and gentleman, I present – the Bento Box Set from NARS! (I seem to be on a Japanese kick this week. I even had sushi today!)

Kabuki Makeup NARS

During his travels, NARS founder, François Nars, has always found Japanese culture to be a great source of inspiration, especially Kabuki makeup. Years ago, after traveling to Japan, François brought back a small, porcelain pot with a red film of color –  Kabuki makeup for the lips.

Debuting this holiday season after years of development is the NARS Bento Box Set – a limited edition set of two Kabuki cups that were hand-poured (fancy!) with very highly pigmented shades containing Vitamin E. Housed in a handmade bento box, the set also comes with a Kabuki lip brush, designed for precise application by dipping the brush into the cup and blending until you get the coverage you want.

The set will be available as of November 1st for $125 at narscosmetics.com. Get on the wait list now at narscosmetics.com/bento. Only one thousand sets were created for sale in the United States, and just over two thousand in total were created worldwide. Not an inexpensive gift, but hey guys – if you want to impress your lady – get her this! Get me one too!
